Salamander Golf Collection in Florida among courses worldwide to celebrate Women’s Golf Day June 6

What better golf courses to celebrate Women's Golf Day (June 6th) than the Salamander Collection in Florida. After all, the company was founded Sheila C. Johnson, a philanthropist and advocate of women's rights.

With that said, Salamander Golf Collection, an extension of Salamander Hotels & Resorts, is recognizing the day at its courses in Florida to celebrate Women's Golf Day on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. The collection represents 10 of the 285 courses around the world that are participating this year.

Johnson is an executive committee member of the United States Golf Association and has helped lead efforts to increase participation in the game. Women's Golf Day aligns with Johnson's vision of inspiring females on a global level to partake in the sport.

All properties offering Women's Golf Day events include clinical instruction to be followed by evenings filled with relaxation, cocktail parties, and networking.

Participating Salamander properties include Innisbrook Resort in Tampa Bay (Copperhead, Island, North and South courses), where Adam Hadwin's year began in March 2017 with a win at the Valspar Championship' along with Reunion Resort in Orlando (Palmer, Watson, and Nicklaus courses) and Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast (Ocean and Conservatory courses).

Overall, the 2017 event venues include public and private golf courses, driving ranges and retail outlets in 46 countries around the globe. All locations will conduct a two-hour golf clinic or offer a nine-hole round of golf, and will culminate with a two-hour social affair where the expected 50,000-plus participating women can network and socialize. Many of the activities are complimentary, however there is a $15 charge at the Salamander properties and it includes instruction the cocktail party.

"We've discovered that female business professionals who take up the game of golf soon recognize the value it brings when it comes to customer engagement and future business development," said WGD Founder Elisa Gaudet. She added "It's important that women have a positive experience when playing golf, regardless of their level of experience and Women's Golf Day caters to all levels and imparts camaraderie."

Salamander is also inviting guests to share their favorite Women's Golf Day moments on social media using #SalamanderWomensGolfDay.
