St. Anne's Golf Club near Dublin, Ireland: Naturally good links
COUNTY DUBLIN, Ireland -- Just five miles from Dublin on Dublin Bay, St. Anne's Golf Club offers classic links golf in a tranquil setting.
Located on the Bull Island Nature Reserve, St. Anne's is a member-owned club open to the public. It was founded in 1921, but underwent an extensive renovation in 2003. That's also the same year it got its latest state-of-the-art clubhouse, which offers after and before-round food and refreshments in a setting that provides panoramic views of the golf course.
Play the par-71 course from the tips at 6,717 yards and it's all the challenge you want, especially in the wind. From the appropriate tees, however, it's a playable for all levels of golfers.
St. Anne's Golf Club has many memorable holes, including the 17th, which Padraig Harrington calls one of the best par 3s in the country.
