I will NEVER do this again. Although United Airlines allows you to bring clubs along as a regular luggage piece, I was concerned about trunk space in the rental car and opted to use FedEx instead. While my son’s clubs happily found their way, mine ended up in Arkansas instead of Palm Springs. Fine. Mistakes happen but please just fix it. FedEx made no effort to rectify the situation and didn’t even offer any kind of help. Even though my clubs would arrive well after I had left the resort, they didn’t even offer to reroute them back to my home. They expected me to pay to have them shipped back too. So not only would I have to play (and pay for) rentals, FedEx wouldn’t even consider paying for the return, let alone give me a refund for their error. I will NEVER use FedEx for anything, let alone something as important as my golf clubs.
