Tidewater Golf Club & Plantation in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Tidewater Golf Club and Plantation in North Myrtle Beach is one of the Grand Strand's prettiest golf courses. It features a collection of holes along the Intracoastal Waterway - as well as several other marsh holes.
Along with its beauty, it's also one of the most difficult golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area. It's only 7,078 yards from the back tees but has a slope rating of 74.8/144. The difficulty here comes largely in the firm, undulating greens that are all heavily guarded. Certain pin positions can make for a very difficult putting surface.
Tidewater does keep it easy in one respect: There is no out-of-bounds on the golf course, even on holes with housing along its perimeter. Red stakes are the law of the land here. The course is women-friendly in that there is a set of tees at both 5,097 yards and 4,615 yards from which to chose.
