Roundup: A look at what's new at TPC courses around the country

From course renovations, to unique and exclusive packages
The scenic 16th hole at TPC Colorado is a downhill par 3 that plays next to the clubhouse, which will mean galleries will be festive during Korn Ferry Tour tournaments and other events held here.

There's a lot going on throughout the TPC Network of golf courses, which include daily-fee, resort and private courses around the world. Here's a summer 2019 roundup:

TPC Colorado

North of Denver, TPC Colorado opened last summer and shortly after was awarded the The TPC Colorado Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour (formerly Web.com Tour). The TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes will be held the week of July 8-14, as 156 up-and-coming players will compete for a $600,000 purse, as well as a spot on the PGA Tour.

You can purchase tickets or learn how to become a volunteer for the event at tpccoloradochampionship.com. Interested in playing one of the country's newest courses? TPC Colorado is currently accepting public play. Daily tee time fees start at $175, and memberships start at $25,000 with a monthly dues of $325.

TPC Louisiana

In New Orleans, TPC Louisiana is receiving a full make-over, as the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District helped launch a $5 million dollar course-wide project. This project will replace the Mini Verde Bermuda grass off the greens with TifEagle Bermuda. The TifSport Bermuda grass in the fairways and tees will be replaced with Celebration Bermuda. In addition, the bunkers will be re-shaped and are going back to their original size and design. There will be a new drainage system implemented into the bunkers as well.

The course was closed shortly after the Zurich Classic this spring to begin the project and is expected to reopen to the public on November 1 of this year.

Notable golf packages

In Texas, another PGA Tour stop, TPC San Antonio, features a stay-and-play for as low as $295 per golfer and includes one night at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill County Resort & Spa, golf on either the AT&T Canyons or AT&T Oaks, practice facility use on the day of play and complimentary bag storage.

How's this for an epic golf trip? TPC Sawgrass is offering a Heli-Golf package available for the remainder of the year. The package includes round trip helicopter to and from your pickup destination, a round of golf on the The Players Stadium Course, VIP service throughout the day including a private tour of the clubhouse from a PGA golf pro and VIP locker room service, plus swag, food and much more. The price is $12,000 per foursome (click for more). If you're looking for a more standard way of experiencing TPC Sawgrass, fill out this request-a-quote below:
