The yearly Golf Advisor state best-of lists are compiled by analyzing the ratings and reviews submitted by members of our community throughout the year. We use our Golf Advisor Index logic that weights newer reviews and combine it with a course's weighted subcategory averages. Reviews from trusted and active reviewers are weighted heavier than inactive members.
Courses must offer public access and have received at least one review in 2018 to be eligible for this year's list.

Why do you have a private course (Firestone) on your list?? Great course not public!! There are some courses I have not played on this list, but I would agree with most except for Chippewa. Decent course, very average except for 3 tough holes on back 9.My favorites are Virtues , Sleepy Hollow, Fowler's Mill & Quarry in my opinion Thx.
Firestone North had some limited public access and events last summer.
How can this list even be taken seriously?!
Heading down from MI for a buddy trip in the summer. Looking for recommendations. right now Boulder Creek, Avalon Lakes, Squaw Creek and Mill Creek are on the radar.
I’ve played 12 of the 25 and Knoll Run is not even close to being a top 25 course. A decent course in Mahoning county sure, but I can think of at least half a dozen better course both in conditioning and layout better than it.
