Golden Golf Club is tucked away in the Columbia Valley, nestled between the Rockies on one side and the Purcell Mountains on the other. Surrounded by untouched wilderness, the golf course's rugged terrain was also carefully preserved. Mature trees line nearly every hole and water also has a prominent presence throughout the course.
There are 11 courses on the Vancouver Island Golf Trail and Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community in Courtenay is a perfect example of what to expect. This 7,025-yard championship layout is plenty difficult from the back tees, but with ample fairways, large greens and a great variety of holes, it's an enjoyable test for golfers of almost any level.
Co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and son Steve, the Mountain Course at Bear Mountain Resort is the jewel of resort golf on Vancouver Island. The course features great views of Victoria, its Inner Harbour and Olympic Mountains.
The Ridge course at Predator Ridge Golf Resort is a brand new design in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Opened in the summer of 2010, the course was designed by Canadian architect Doug Carrick. Compared to the original Predator course at Predator Ridge, the Ridge is a bit less penal, with more forgiving fairways and greens.
