This is a very beautiful course with a great staff. It's a great place to get in a quick round.
There was more sand than grass! Most tee boxes were weeds. Greens has more sand than grass. They had been recently punched and all the debris was just moved to the side. Way too much sand left. Layout was fine. Staff was fine. Lots of weeds and sand.
Fun again after 2yrs away
I played Franklin GC on the morning of eclipse day, Aug.21, 2017. Staff was very friendly, both in the small clubhouse & the crew on the course, too. This a 9 hole course, but very fun. It has a worthy par 3 (175yrs) and a challenging par 5 to go with a variety or good par fours. Some par 4s are short, but are hilly, so they're more challenging. Fairways are mostly a crabgrass, but work well-ball stays on top, with a decent lie. Greens are smallish, but fast & some are multi-leveled. Play it as 18 holes & maybe you'll par the holes you bogied on the 1st nine! It's not pristine, but hey-you payed only $20!! A fun course....I'll be back.
Only negative is we had to play the same 9 holes twice & was not aware of this at time of booking.
Great deal for the price.
We enjoyed this course for the price we paid. Greens were kind of rough and it was our first time. One of the easier mountain courses we have played.
My wife and I played 18 holes on a 9 hole course. We love to play on a mountain course. I pared the last 3 holes for an 84 which is 6 strokes better than my handicap.
Enjoyed playing this short 9 hole course.
Course is in good condition for a "muni" type course
course was in very good shape and really enjoyed the play and the great weather.would go again anytime
