One of many great views. Photo submitted by u000002852979 on 05/29/2020
Great course
Everything there is in excellent shape. Range, putting greens, facilities and especially the course itself. We played the blue tees and they were jacked way back. Greens roll true. Great time and place!! Played on a hot deal for 64.00.
Great outing
Had back to back foursomes. Course is in great shape. Beautiful setting
Great Layout
Got out to play Grandover West for the first time today. It is a great course. I got a tee time early on Monday morning. It was not crowded. So I was sent out as a single and zipped through the round. The course was in good-not great shape. Several places where new sod had been layed and had not grown in. The tees were in great shape. The greens were near perfect. It’s a good mix of holes. Some short. Some long. It was a little short from the white tees. A little long from the blues. But a really good mix of beautiful holes. Some tough blind lines off the tee. I paid $80. Which I felt like was a decent value given the layout of the course. If you’re in the fairway it’s a much easier course. The rough is really thick bermuda. Very tough. All in all. Well worth a round in the area.
Great Course
I play both Grandover courses pretty often. It is a great course and the people are great as well.
Excellent course and condition
Drove by this golf course 150 times saying I need to play that golf course! What a pleasant and excellent surprise! Was a great layout and tee boxes, fairways and greens were plush and well maintained. Played West Course and now plan to come back to play East. Stuck an approach shot to within 2 feet on #1 handicap hole. Made great memories with my son!
Business Golf
Great coarse to entertain clients. I have already suggested to others and will play here again.
Almost perfect
Course was a few brown spots away from perfection. Fast greens but not punishing in their design. Layout was very entertaining. Off course amenities were top notch. Carts were stocked with goodie bags including towel, tees and ball mark tool.
Drove off West 18 and went straight in to book a round on the East course. I would call this course a must play for under $100.
Good Value for the Hot Deal Opportunity
We played this course a year ago in the fall. Everything was great, and we looked forward to returning asap to play the East Course. There was an outing on the East, so we played the West again. For early May in NC, with everything greening up, you expect most courses to be in near peak condition. One too many fairways burned out, and greens that rolled true but not very fast. The course felt just a tad "over par", but we'll be back to play the East course at some point, hopefully sooner than later. Staff exceptionally friendly and amenities top notch.
Fun, difficult, and affordable.
Great course layout, great conditions, slow pace of play with no starter to speed anyone along. No water at any of the holes so make sure you bring your own bottles or you’ll be thirsty with no refills. Took well over 4 hours to play 18 because of the slow pace but fun design & long course.
Great Value
Played early and had the course to ourselves (twosome). The course is in amazing shape. The greens were perfect. Great layout, lots of fun.
Amazing facility and staff
The staff and amenities are at the top of the list for central NC. Exceptional value and services. There’s really not a better course in the area.
Rough
Great course. The only issue is u shouldn’t lose golfballs in the first cut off the fairway. Too deep totally unacceptable
Better Than Advertised
Everything was perfect! The course layout is impeccable and the condition of the golf course was superb. A lack of staffing doesn't allow the full Grandover experience (no cart girl on the west course nor 19th hole experience) but the golf is absolutely perfect!
