Belvedere Country Club
Belvedere Golf & Country Club in Hampstead begins along the Intracoastal Waterway and then moves inland towards the clubhouse. The back nine is routed through tall forests that provide a home to grey heron and osprey. The golf course forms a large figure eight, which means you won't find any parallel fairways, but you will also be faced with wind whipping in every direction. The unique layout consists of six par 3s, seven par 4s, and five par 5s that all place a heavier emphasis on accuracy than distance. Many of the greens are elevated and the fairways are lined with trees. The par 3s are some of the most demanding holes due to their small, narrow greens. They are the toughest greens to hit in regulation but luckily if your placement isn't perfect there are still opportunities to save your score.

Great course that is on a come back!
This course has a great layout and great staff. The biggest issues that I have with this course is their practice era/driving range. Like I said in the title this course is trying to make a come back.
great coarse really improved
the coarse has improved drastically since I played last. Greens are in great shape, fairways are nice and the coarse actually has a true rough now. they have done a great job improving the coarse to my favorite in Hampstead. the tee boxes have been improved also since last time I was there. really a good treat to play
Not too good
First...I got this tee time cheap because of a $25 credit, it included greens fee, cart and bucket of range balls. The guy behind the counter was not very personable. I got there early to hit some balls... no go...the range was closed...Too wet. Ok...but they have mats out... that set the tone for the day. The course was ok. But, the tee boxes were terrible. The greens were in good condition but the same flag tricks on a lot of the greens.... green slopes back to front, flag is right up front behind a bunker. It got old. First time in a long time I was happy to leave a golf course. The other golfers that were there were extremely nice! Maybe it will be better in the summer.
Look past the clubhouse entrance
arrived early before anyone with my son. We openly talked whether we should stay or try and book another place. Glad we stayed and played our round. Spots were burnt out due to the excessive heat, with some tees with new sod. Greens were incredible shape - better than Castle Bay and North Shore. Track is typical layout thru houses. Decent but tight fairways.
Incredible Improvement BCC
The course has improved by leaps and bounds..The Superintendent and his crew have worked miracles repairing the winter kill damage that many courses in the area have experienced. I play this course on a regular basis and have observed the progress that they have made in such a short period of time.
The greens are smooth and roll very well. I shot 70 and contibutue that to the condition of those greens..
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful ! This course is well worth your hard earned money!
I was scared after reading all of the reviews from this summer, but apparently they have done a lot of work to the golf course. The greens are good, some repairs are still visible, but they roll very well. The tees aren't great, but they had stripped 4 of them apparently to re-surface, so they are dealing with it. Reads short on the card, but plays long on several holes. Fun course, nice staff, good food. I had a good time.
Course has promise
The course could be a pretty nice one. However, the tee boxes and greens were terrible. There is no excuse with the tee boxes; some of them weren't mowed, some of them weren't well maintained. The greens were probably the worst greens I have played on in the last couple years. They played pretty fast, so they definitely have the ability to be challenging greens. However, there were multiple dirt patches on almost every green that often didn't allow a putt towards the hole.
Save your Money
Other than torn up greens, tees that were 50% crabgrass and 50 dirt and slow play the course was OK. 65% of the greens had large patches of dirt. By far the worst course I've played in over 25 years. Not worth playing at any price.
Country Club need some TLC
This country club needs some attention. The club house and pool area need some help. The greens look like some one treated them with weed killer. Very difficult to putt on hard dirt.
avoid for a while
I've played this course several times each year for the last 10 and to say I was disappointed this past weekend would be an understatement. I have never seen greens this bad. Anywhere. There are no greens, just browns, dirts, and bumps. The course was in nice shape otherwise, but it's not playable in its current condition. To think how early it is in the "hot" season, I can't imagine any puttable surfaces for several months. Avoid if possible. Try it again in the fall.
Greens are atrocious
Played the Sunday prior to Memorial Day and the greens were absolutely terrible. While I play Belvedere on a regular basis, someone either mistook Round-up for fertilizer on all the greens or they've not been watered.....ever. I'll not play here until some grass is back on the greens.
Wkend in NC
Lady at food court area the most friendly person I've ever met on golf course. She went all out to make sure food was made to order and to our satisfaction.
Course definitely needed some work.
Tee boxes were in poor condition. Scenery was beautiful. Staff was friendly.
Great course. It was a lot of fun for me a high handicapper and my playing partner who is a low 70s golfer.
good value would play again
fairways with pines and hardwoods, greens and fairways in
good condition, cart paths have beenrepaired with 10 /15 %
with concert.pace of play by myself 3 hours.Bunkers in good
Belvedere CC, a great round for the money.
Nice layout and well worth the money I paid to play.
A great beach course.
As a single player, I was able to finish 18 holes in 3 hours. Course in great shape, although fairly flat as for most beach courses. Greens had been aerated recently and covered in sand, so difficult to judge, but enjoyable.
Course needs attention
For $12 for 18 holes it is better than a driving range. $30+ I would be disappointed. Needs some TLC. If not, would not be surprised if closed in the next year.
this course has nice views of intercoastal and homes
very nice course fo a hot deal, fairways and greens were well kept
Getting better ..
Played here in April and the greens and tees were in very poor shape ... some almost unplayable. Greens are now a lot better and with one exception are in very good shape (some grounds-keeping!). A lot of the tees are still pretty poor .. some are dirt patches.
However, the hot deals are so good at this course that I can live with the tee boxes!
Overall, the course is in pretty good shape with a lot of new cart paths.
The pace of play is, however, very slow .... be prepared to wait, and very few foursomes seem to allow players to play through.
