This is a Must Play
The only complaint I would have was that it was hard to find the 10th tee. Now I know how the course lays out now and will Definitely be coming back
Great price for what you get!
Started 20 minutes late as the first tee was backed up with 6 carts waiting to start off. Wouldn’t recommend going on a Saturday. The course layout is lacking signs that indicate where the next hole is - sometimes you need to take a U-turn and drive past a hole or two in order to get to the next one for no reason.
Greens had all of the irrigation holes severely dented in so estimating where your ball would go was difficult. Fairways and tee boxes in good shape and friendly staff!
Slow and Blind
The front 9 pace was very good but the back 9 was painfully slow. Slowest round I've played in a long time. There are a lot of blind shots which make things difficult unless you really know the course. Greens were recently aerated so I can't really speak to the quality of the greens.
Can’t complain!
Great value really enjoyed the course and the greens held pretty good speed. Will definitely be back!
Great value for the money
I wish I lived closer because this course would be on my regular playing list. Tough back 9 with many blind approach shots. In great condition and the staff was extremely friendly.
Friendly staff - course in great shape
Course in excellent condition. Greens all rolled the same. Few tee locations need repair. Pace of play issue during this visit. Extremely friendly staff
Excellent greens.
I wasn’t expecting the best conditions for this course given the time of year. I was pleased with how well the greens looked and were playing. Some parts of the course (tee boxes and away from the fairway) are in poor condition but overall great value for the money.
Course is a joke
I like a challenging course where good shots are rewarded and bad shots get punished. This course just punishes. It’s extremely sloped and in such poor condition, that’s it’s hard and balls run out forever. Barely any grass, even in the fairways. Great shots are unjustly punished. The layout is gimmicky. Almost all tee shots are blind. There are a lot(too many) of short dog legs that you have to hit iron or hybrid off tee. This may be my least favorite course I’ve ever played and I’ve played hundred.
Get what you pay for
As others have said, greens rolled nicely. For winter golf, the course was maintained fine but was very repetitive. No practice facilities, and the clubhouse didn’t add much value. I got a chili dog after they had run out of Pimento cheese sandwiches, and it was a hot dog with ground beef on top.
Suppose I’m being a bit harsh, but ultimately you get what you pay for here.
Played the course early on a Sunday morning and the pace of play was pretty good for a somewhat challenging course. I would state though it probably had potential to back up quite easily with some of the holes being challenging and waiting for people to play shots from the wrong fairways etc.
The course is in pretty good shape, and the greens were excellent and ran as smoothly as any public golf course I've ever played.
This is great value for money and only really a short drive from Charlotte.
Good Course - Needs a little work
Overall, this is a fun course with a retro feel. The staff was outstanding. Loved the seclusion of the back 9. There were a couple quirky holes, but that's the fun of playing near the mountains. Some of the tees boxes do need some love (water). It was hard to get a tee peg in the ground.
