This course does not drain well at all.
It was a mudhole and I had called the night before and they said cartpath only on just one hole. A little rain overnight and I had to walk all day. Cartpath only the whole course. Sloppy and muddy
A nice municipal Donald Ross golf course
This course you can walk very easily except for one very up hill approach shot. Many who walk the course just skip that hole and go to the one around it. The greens are in great condition always, even during the winter.. They are fast where many will have enough slope on them to drive you crazy. Blame it on Donald. Most greens are elevated and it does test your short pitch/chip game. It has a nice practice area for sand/pitch/chip and driving. Nice practice putting green right next to where you park. Easy.
Little difficult to navigate gut fun course
Had a good time took a little to navigate course but greens were Donald Ross design fast and upside down saucer
frst time report
Good Municiple course. Tee boxes need to be mowed. Two much leaves and debris on the course which caused a loss of balls.
First time @ Lenior
Course really goes up and down and plays longer than yardage. Tough but fair Donald Ross course. I didn't know the course and it cost me on a couple holes. I enjoyed it.
Course has great rates
This course has very reasonable rates and is fun to play! First time playing course and found it an enjoyable round. Not the greatest fairways and found the greens slower than I am used to but overall well worth a return visit when I am in the area.
Must have had recent heavy rain because there was standing water in places on fairways but we just moved laterally and had no problems. It was a fun day with Son and Grandson.
Flooding has ruined it.
I started playing this course because a good friend of mine lives in Lenoir. This use to be one of my absolute favorite places to play.......USE to be. Flooding has completely destroyed it. Half the fairways are dirt, the traps are washed out, the cart paths are washed out. I had been avoiding playing here for almost a year because of this but my buddy said driving by it daily looks like they had it back in shape. The greens were pretty ok they had just watered them before we got there (around 4:30) they were soft and rolled pretty true. Lots of ball marks though clearly the people who play here often don’t know how to use a divot tool........ all in all if you don’t book on golf now they want 31 dollars a round and that’s about 20 dollars too much for the condition the course is in. I won’t evwn pay the 22.50 it is on golf now. Maybe we will try again next year?
Nice value course
Nice quirky little course, not very long but challenging with a meandering creek, 180 to 200 yd par threes add to the fun, fairways a little rough, but nice around greens and greens rolled true, would definatly recommend
Great course and deals!!
Great course with great Greens! Best deals around for memberships, range balls, and merchandise!!!!
Very Very bad, just a plain Jane golf course. People playing there act like you should not be on their course. Will never set foot on that course again.
Great course and all around best deal around in memberships, range balls, and merchandise. Greens are great!!
Overall good course.
The layout is nice and flat so it can be deceiving on the distance which adds to the difficulty. Its a fun course to play and the staff is really friendly.
Greens nice a smooth. Very challenging from the blue tee box.
Great value for the money
This course was originally designed by Donald Ross. It is evident when playing it, as most every hole has moderately quick raised greens. Although it has received a lot of rain this spring, the course drains well. This is no Pinehurst #2 but a great course for the money.
Challenging course with streams everywhere
They had 6 inchs of rain the previous week and most of the course was under several feet of water, but the course was in great shape. There was some wet spots but was playable. Greens were in great shape. Bunkers were a little wet but not muddy.
Great value for the money.
Guy at front acted irritated when we explained we booked through golf now!
LOTS OF WATER AROUND
Not bad for the money...you better stay in the fairway if you want to score well...
Great for beginners
This Is a great course for beginner golfers, it is flat and short
