Enjoyable
I like this course. Its fun to play, for the most part a good walking course and an interesting layout. Also, every time I have been, its been in great condition. Having said that, I have a couple of niggles.
First and foremost, that 18th hole is a design disaster. Any hole that needs to have a local rule allowing you to tee up your second shot it order to make it playable for the average golfer, has got some serious problems. In this case, its a very long carry over a water hazard thats just impossible unless you are a true bomber. I don’t think theres an easy fix for that. Be prepared.
My other issue seems to have an easy fix. There are several par 4 and 5 holes where you are never allowed to drive the cart in for absolutely no apparent reason. The fairways are as dry and firm as all the others. This slows down play. Why?? I can understand protecting holes that tend to hold moisture but there is no evidence of that.
But again, even with these issues, this is a fun course thst I can highly recommend.
Sandy Greens
They had just top dressed the greens. While they were rolling true , it was like putting on the beach. I'm sure this will wash away in a week or so and they greens should be fine
Challenging but very fun course to play
I highly recommend this course. Staff is very friendly and the course is in great condition. This was my first time playing this course, but it will not be the last. You cannot beat the price. Some holes present a challenge and I had to rethink which club to use several times. That is what made it fun. I look forward to playing this course again real soon
Nice course. Plays well.
The course is in good shape. Greens are average play. The pair 5 18th hole plays weird as you tee up on your first and second shot to get over the lake. After a hot day (96 degrees) playing 17 holes, 18 will challenge the average golfer.
Course was under construction!!!
I was not informed that the greens were punched. Hole 8 par 3 didn’t even have a green to play. I guess they was working on it because they just moved the flag to the left of the green. I wasn’t informed of that either. On a lot of the holes you could tell that they were cutting down trees because debris was in along the side of the holes. Normally the course is in great shape, but not on this day.
Okay just no notice that greens just aerated
Course was in good shape just wish they would’ve notified that the greens in the neck aerated calls and not a single person would stay through the entire course and don’t tell you that your plan to a temporary green on one of the holes
Fun course to play
The fairways and areas around the greens are still pretty tight from the winter dormancy of the Bermuda grass, so a little sparse. Greens were great. Staff was very friendly. The layout is a little quirky but there are some really good holes. Be advised that they have one temporary green, which we didn’t know about until we arrived. Will play this one again when things green up a little with warmer weather.
Always satisfying. Spring conditions.
Early Spring conditions. Greens are soft and fast. Tee box are worn. Fairways are tight due to winter season so not much turf grass yet still in good shape for the season. It’s a fun course and better. Than most.
