Great Value
I feel like there are 2 different courses here. The front 9 and the back nine have a different feel. The front 9 requires more accurate shots, whereas the back 9 is more forgiving. The course was in great shape. I love playing it.

Nice for the price
The course was not in the best shape due to recent rains and poor golf etiquette of others (not fixing divots, ball marks, etc.). However, the layout was solid and the greens still rolled well. The cost was definitely worth it and I would recommend play here multiple times!

Narrow but good
Course is quite narrow so placement is important. I found the course a bit short as well.

Frustration
I have played Tregaron on multiple occassions and like the layout. Unfortunately had a bad experience with league members. Turned to play the back nine after paying for 18 holes. League members cut in front of me and wouldn't let me filter in after waiting for 15 minutes for the groups already on tee. Comment, "There are only 4 more team times after us" didn't sit well and was very frustrating. Asked for a rain check and got 9 holes but no cart was included. Rain check good for the 9 holes I didn't get to play but cart fee wasn't. First incident there but will have to think about going back regardless of the value.

Love this course.
This course is personally one of my favorites to play. This course has a good variety of fast greens, long driving opportunities and also a friendly staff.

Slow torture.........
The good - Tregaron is a GREAT layout. It's interesting and challenging, especially from the back tees. The greens putted well. Cart girl was awesome.
The bad - No practice range! The greens were like concrete. Nothing stopped. The traps were unplayable. We had to agree to pick up the ball, rake the crusty mess back into sand and then drop. The rough was US Open deep, which is fine on a private club or for a regional qualifier but...
The ugly - They pack em on. Twosomes aren't paired up and there are just too many groups playing. Add in the hackers hitting from the blues and that deep rough and you have a 5 hour and 10 minute round.
Staying home to do chores would have been less aggravating. Play it on a weekday.

Five some in front of our four some
First thing you see when you get to the pro shop "no five some allowed" we had a group of 5 all 18 holes in front of us. Called the pro shop 3 times and nothing was done. The five some claimed, at the turn, that only 4 of them were playing, which it was not true. They all had clubs and the 5 of them were playing at all times. They told the beer cart lady they were going to split in 2 groups (in hole 11), they never did it. It was very frustrating our 6 hr round, and especially, that the pro shop didn't do anything about it.

Fun layout
Good course for the money. Could use a little bit more tlc as grass was overgrown and there were bare spots. There is no GPS which would be nice to help determine yardage

When ever I can make it to Tregaron I come running. I love this course. Really fits my draw shot shape and the greens are soft and fast.

Friday Frustration
A great course with lots of challenges. I did not know until I was held up on the 3rd tee that there was an ongoing competition in progress. The front 9 took 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete with at one point a 40 minute wait to tee off as there were at least 5 groups waiting for their turn. As I wasn't expecting to take so long I was unable to complete the last 5 holes due to other commitments which was both disappointing and frustrating. In some defense of the course management it had rained heavily over the past few days so carts had to stay on the path even if the course marshals did not adhere to this at all times and this did have some impact on playing time. I would play again to try and complete the course and overall would recommend Tregaron as a course to be played

Great conditions
The course is about an hour away from me, or I would play it regularly. The greens were in great shape and the fairways (though recently aerated) were in pretty good condition.
The course was a great value with our 'hot deal' and I'll play it more frequently in the days ahead.
