Excellent value, a fine course
The greens rolled true and smooth. The par 3s had some challenge. The overall course was short yet demanding due to the size of the greens on the front. Number 3 particularly was impressive for only 335 yards. I’d play here often to fine tune my wedge game and par 3 strategy. I’ll be back.
Course needs work
Too many dry patches, beat up greens and unsuitable tee boxes. The best part of today was a friendly staff, the weather and the new golf carts.
Great Spring Golf
We have been to 3 or 4 course this Spring and by far Monroe Country Club was in the best condition. We went the day after it rained all day and the course was dry. The greens were very nice as well. Staff was incredibly friendly including the ranger who came over to my son and thanked him for raking the bunker. We can’t wait to go back.
Great course with a few issued
Great course but behind on mowing and significant poa Ana on front 9. Some on back nine but better. Great course but appears maintenance has dropped off from recent past. Hopefully a fluke and not a trend.
Challenging Course in Good Condition
This is the third time I have played here. The front nine although short and compact, is very challenging due to the greens. The greens were rolling fast and require you to hit a certain area if you want a good chance at your putt. I find the back nine to actually be easier. It's a fun course to play for your money.
Not the best conditioned course right now
I have played here before with much better course conditions. For spring hitting, the greens had weed spots and just overall didn’t look ready for spring. Maybe it will be better in the summer but typically spring conditions are telling of how the course will be for the season. Hope it turns for the better.
Great back 9
Good value for the money. Back 9 is an excellent layout. Front is okay. Greens were consistent and good for this time of year!
Course is in good condition.
Course is in good condition just needs the grass to come in.
Old school, fun layout
This course is an older school style muni looking course, but its small greens, many bunkers, and elevation changes around the green make it much more difficult that it looks on paper. Not sure why this place doesn't come up in the friend group rotation more, becase we always leave here happy with the round. Food and beer are really cheap, and the staff is nice.
Monroe Country Club
Course was pretty difficult as many greens were small and elevated. Ground was soft so ball was constantly picking up mud. Bunkers were wet and hard with high lips adding to frustration, but the worst thing was our cart ran out of gas in the middle of the fairway on a he 8th hole. Pace of play was a little bit slow but acceptable. There were some bare spots in my the grass. Overall not bad for this time of year. Could not warm up as the range was closed.
Solid Course for February play
Greens were quick and tiny - not ideal for my first time playing the course but could become more familiar with more play. Course still browned-out for winter but I will play it again once it is more green. A solid local club.

5 somes should not be allowed on days when the tee sheet is full. I am not another course at the level of MCC that would allow a 5 some when the course is crowded.
Great Value
Been wanting to play this course for a while. Played on a warm winter day in February. Club house staff and starter were both very helpful and courteous. Driving range was a long cart ride from the clubhouse and there was zero grass to hit off of. Course layout is decent, but there are some very close holes together on the front nine. Greens are very small and very fast. Played as a single with a threesome. Probably the nicest group of guys of guys I have ever played with they were patient with my struggles on the first nine and encouraging. The price was a great value for a Saturday afternoon. I highly recommend this course for a fun round.
