Superb course and atmosphere
We have played this course a handful of times. This was our first visit since the new clubhouse opened. Super nice amenities! Friendly staff and superb golfing conditions. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped cheese dog and the homemade chips at the grill. Can't wait to get back out for our next visit!
Fridays
Friday is not a good time to play this course because they have a large group of four-sums and making it slow to progress. Course is nice with GPS systems in cart.
Great challenge
Overall the course has it challenges for every level of player. The layout requires a variety of golf shots and the greens require the golfer to think before putting.
Great Course
The course presents some challenging holes, yet they are fun to play. Greens are very fast and difficult even for the low handicap golfer.
The course was in good condition for this time of year
Use to play this course weekly years ago before they changed the design. Enjoy the course now. The price this time of year is ok but the price for Spring and Summer are a little to high for my blood. Plus its a municipal course. So why $50 a round? That's a little to high in my opinion. Especially when you could play it for $36 years ago. Should also be a discount for Mooresville residence. But oh well that's the town of Mooresville for you. On to pace of play. I played on a Friday at 1230 and was paired with a walker. Who wasn't the fastest of players. But we played behind 2 groups of 4 which seemed to be in the dogfight. 2 golfers keeping up with 4 and having to wait on every shot is crazy. They never offered to let us play thru. Played 9 holes behind these 2 groups. I made the turn alone and was wanting to get in front of the 2 groups but never did. Once again waited every shot on these groups and I was a single. Which to me is pathetic!!!! Needless to say I am not great but having to wait on every shot is not proper golf etiquette!! Look to play the course again one day soon but hope I don't get stuck behind the dogfight groups. If I do then maybe someone will have shared this message with them and they will start letting smaller groups play thru!
Great features
Course was in good shape for this time of year. Greens were fast and in great condition. Overall a great course to play.
Great Course!
First time at this track. I booked via a GolfNow Hot Deal as a single and was paired with a threesome. For late January the course was in great shape. Pace of play was slow though (5.5hr round). I attribute that to so many people wanting to play after a break in the weather. What threw me off was the fact there was several golfers walking on a busy Saturday.
A course that has many pluses.
Nice track. Greens very fast. Course was in excellent condition
Time
Just because my tee time was for 1230......was no reason not to let me out earlier.....there was no one on the course. No one....plus the fact it was raining,,,,they could have let me play early.....i was playing by myself
Too bad nice course
great course
Great course but too much play. They had alot of employes hanging out and I am sure that they could had used them as rangers to speed up play. Making more money for the course and more enjoy for the people that played. We had a 3 players and it took 5 hours to play. Also could had a beverage cart to speed up play and make more money. The course is treated like it is a Private club that tolarates slow play because it is owned by its menbers not a public club . Yes they do have menberships but Mooresville payes for it.
Great Course
Tee to green course was great. 1st time playing. Greens were firm and fast. Course overall was in great shape. A few wet spots even though no rain recently which was a little unusual. Lots of golfers but seemed to move along relatively well. Finished in just over 4 hrs. Would definitely play again.
Great weather for golf
Played the black tees for the first time and it was all I wanted and then some. Pace of play was slow but realistic for a perfect golf day November 30th. The greens are hard and fast but not unrealistic for this to.e of year. I look forward to my next round here and will move back to the white tees even though it only added 5 strokes to my card.
Nice course, ver slow play
This is the second time playing the course and for the time of year it was in good shape. The tees and greens were nice but the pace of play was VERY slow. There were five groups on hole ten at one time so we stopped playing and asked for a nine hole refund, which they did give to us.
