Great time
Really liked the course and the staff were all very friendly. Greens are large, hard and very fast, but roll true. Very enjoyable experience and will definitely go back.
Overrated
This is a great course if you like a 5 hour round in the middle of the week. By the fourth tee box our group was waiting for every shot, sometimes 15 minutes. I actually ended the agony after 9 hole and called it a day. If you ask me this course is overrated since it reopened. They need Marshalls out on the course to push the foursomes of old men along. In addition, the green are so firm it is almost impossible to hold the green on approach. 1 Star all day long, I will never go back.
Beautiful round
Beautiful day on a great course, great weather, excellent course with great condition and fast greens. Staff were helpful in making the day very enjoyable. Course was very crowded, which slowed the pace of play being the only downside to the day.
Excellent layout,really enjoyed the round
I have played this course a lot since it reopened and after each round I look forward to the next round there.l play it about every 2 weeks. I highly recommend it.
Still a "must"
Despite 3 inches of rain the previous night the course was more than playable. Cart paths only. Even with the rain the greens still ran over 11 on stimp. If you like good conditions, up hill and down hill lies and quick greens without a flat spot play here. You'll enjoy. Good driving range with chipping a putting greens. Leave yourself some time for these to get accustomed to conditions.
Great course!
Thoroughly enjoyed the round. Course is always in great condition and set up very well. Is one of my favorite courses in the local area.
Mooresville Golf
Nice course in very nice condition. A little wet in spots. Very challenging course. Tough greens.
Improved Course
Great track. Greens and fairways are pristine. Challenging course. Love the round.
First time playing since the redesign
I have played Mooresville many times before the redesign. This was my first time playing it since the redo. I had heard really good things but was skeptical and didn't want to set my sights too high.
Other than dealing with the dirt bag that came into the snack bar throwing at least 20 F-Bombs and GD's at the female snack bar attendant over some beef he had that no one could understand what he was even talking about...this was the most enjoyable round of golf I've played in years.
The design is awesome, I especially liked the back nine surprisingly as less changes were made there than the front but the changes that were made turned it into a great 9 holes. The condition of the course was great from tee to green. Pace of play was pretty good. We got around in just over 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon.
The Iredell county area really needed a good public course that charges a reasonable price. This is it. great job to everyone involved! Staff was excellent as well.
Worth the drive
Well maintained and interesting layout, especially the front nine. Very walkable
Beautiful facility
The renovation is complete. The course is in great shape and the practice area is top notch. They recently opened their clubhouse and it has all the accommodations a golfer could want. From Charlotte to Statesville, this is the best public course and you can't beat the mid-week rates. Bring your best putting game because the greens on the renovated front 9 are firm and undulating. Enjoy this muni gem, you wouldn't find many like them.
Wonderful round with sons.
Great ground on a course in excellent condition. My three sons really liked the remodeled course and enjoyed the challenge the course presented for the range of our handicaps. We will be back soon for another round of family gplf.
Great Public Golf Course
I booked this course for my son's 40th birthday. When we pulled into the drive my son and son-in-law, who had played the course before noted a big change. New club house, practice area and changes to the course. The fairways and greens were in perfect condition. The greens were fast and the fairways were cut fairly tight. There are plenty of places to get in trouble if you miss the fairways. It is a fair course but also a challenge.
Outstanding course
Had the pleasure of playing a round at the Mooresville Golf Club yesterday after evacuating Florida prior to Hurricane Irma's touchdown. The course was absolutely fantastic; the tee boxes were flat and neat, fairways looked like they were fresh cut that morning, and the greens were like glass. I would highly recommend this course to anyone in the area looking for a beautiful course at a hard to beat price.
Rennovations have made this course one of the best in the area!
I played this course 4 years ago and it is a completely different course since then!. The front 9 has been completely redone, all holes have new greens, fairways and bunkers. The practice facility is by far the best in the area! It's easy to see why they are sold out of memberships.
My only complaint would be that the greens were too hard and cut way short (but in perfect condition). Nothing would check and regardless how much spin you have on your ball, your going off the backside of the green. Greens rolled well though it felt like putting on concrete.
The course was in great shape
The rough was thick and the second cut was tough to find your ball you just need to slow down and pick your shot wisely but the course was in great shape!!
pace of play/cart path only/danger
After 10th hole, 11th had 4 groups on it. It had been 3hrs and5mins. I quit and went home. Holes 2 and 4 are cart paths only. No apparent reason, carts are programmed to halt in restricted areas. Dangerous path FM 1-2.
Great course but...
This is truly a great course and you won't find a better course for the money in the surrounding charlotte area. But, 5 hours for a round is absolutely ridiculous. Got to the first tee box and it is backed up 4 groups. Not sure how the first hole is backed up with a starter there. Bkggest issue is people waiting for the group in front of them to get to the green before hitting their drive. The experience would be greatly improved if they had a ranger who actually tracked groups and forced a faster pace of play. I do love this course but often times avoid it simply because I don't have 5 to 5.5 hours to play a round of golf.
Great Remodel Course
First time playing the remodeled course with new clubhouse, driving range, putting, chipping greens and new GPS golf carts. Course was in great condition with fast greens. Layout will challenge all levels of players from four sets of tees with good bunkers, water hazards and changing terrain.
