Layout has a variety shot
I like that the front 9 lends to shot placement and back nine opens up to the long ball hitter
Feel Welcome
Friendly staff. Well kept course. Attractive scenery. Perfect if they could control the weather.
Worth it
Course was in amazing shape for February. Would like to play it when they actually have the tee boxes set but I'm happy just to be playing in February.
Friendly Staff Good Condition
This is a fun course in the middle of a nice neighborhood in western Omaha. The course is in excellent condition on a warm day in Feb. with varying terrains and interesting layout. The shop staff is very friendly, going out of their way to help me get an early start to finish the round in time for kid's volleyball tournament in the afternoon. Will play it again next time in town.
Great afternoon
We enjoyed some great weather late in the year. Course was in great shape. Staff and food/refreshments/cigars were excellent. An absolute steal for the price.
Love Pacific Springs
A lot of people complain about this course because of the challenging trees on some of the tees, but if golf were easy everyone would do it. Even at my beginning level of play I still do my best to beat those trees, sometimes I do. The staff at Pacific Springs do a magnificent job of keeping the course in shape. Of all the public courses I've played in a 20 mile radius of here this one is the best maintained. The fact that they give me a retired military discount for regular play (which is cheaper than playing at the Offutt AFB course, go figure) is also a plus for me.
Love this course
Whenever I find this course on golfnow, I make sure to book it. The course is a great and you can't beat the price.
Short course with challenging greens
Paid 40 for 704 tee time, played in 4 hrs and enjoyed the course. Although the tips are only 6k yes, the greens add a challenge and they were true.
It wasn't what I remember
We got a hot deal and an amazing price for a round of golf. However, I have not played here in a few years. I definitely talked up the course and it wasn't in great shape. I remember it being an above average course. If I like a course I will easily pay $30 and remembered that it was worth that price. I would not play this course for more than $25 with cart.
I don't know if weather here in Omaha has been wreaking havoc and that could ver well be.
Many of the Tee boxes were in rough shape. Many areas around the green were muddy or lacked grass or had too many weeds or uneven grass. The greens were very nice and can't remember one that was bad.
As for playing, it has a bunch of short holes. I think I can reach 3 or 4 greens on Par 4's. I like that with 1 hole on a course but not 3 or 4. I think the only holes I used higher than a 9 to get to the green was on the par 5's and one of them my second shot was from 150. It's a short course if you enjoy playing that type of thing.
The greens can be tricky, but I don't think they were unfair. It would help to know the course better becuase how you approach the green from a miss is muy importanto.
Clubhouse and staff are nice.
I just remember it being much better than it was. I would still go back for teh right deal.
Wow. What a course!
Either I was having a bad golf day, or this course just puts the psych out to you. The course isn't long, but the fareways are very challenging. Subtle rolling hills, strategically placed bunkers, and an intimidating creek along with rough/out of bounds areas that are so rough, you'll never find a ball you hit in there. I'm going to have to play this course until I master it!
Almost 5 1/2 hours to play-Ridiculous!
The course was in descent shape and the staff is friendly, but it took almost 5 1/2 hours to play 18. There was a scramble event going on and they still took tee times in the middle of it. It was completely unacceptable. There was a group on the green, a group in the fairway, and at least 2 groups on the tee box. Stop over booking! I will not be going ban anytime soon!
Good value - quirky layout
Very friendly staff and an enjoyable round - very good value !
West O GOLF
Pacific Springs is a good value, but benefits from location. Pretty average course as far as difficulty, it is well taken care of. Has a tendency to play slow.
Great course
This is course is an awesome course to play it gives you a bit of a challenge but at the same time easy to navigate the course. Honestly the best course in west Omaha for the money would play there over tiburon any day of the week. Thanks for the experience I will definitely be returning many more times
average public course
Pacific Springs is just an average public course and pretty good for beginners. The greens are usually pretty beat up because no one seems to know how to fix ball marks. Not a bad place to just relax and play.
Same story every time
85 degrees, course full of people so there is a wait before every shot and NO beverage cart service for the entire 5 hours. Greens are junk and half the holes are cart path only regardless of conditions.
Overbooked Tee Times
They recommend a good pace of play is about four hours. Plan on golfing at Pacific Springs during a Sunday after noon better make sure you have six hours blocked out.
We were told that it was cart path only at the beginning, which is reasonable but the pace of play was so slow that we were backed up on every hole. We would see either the course marshal (who reminded us cart only with every visit) or the beverage cart every other hole. The pace of play was so bad and poorly monitored that golfers were skipping holes to get back to the club house in a timely matter. Plus the club house was putting additional groups in at the turn while there was already fully booked front nine.
First hole
The first few holes are tough, but it does get easier.
Good Course
This is one of my favorite courses to play in the Omaha area.
