Challenging greens, delightful variations of terrain
Pacific Springs is carved beautifully into a suburban area, yet its natural features of creeks, mature trees and wide fairways make it a charming and inviting experience for the avid golfer. The holes come in all lengths and wind pleasantly through a wooded neighborhood with interesting slopes, nice changes in elevation and smooth greens.
Use your Head !!
From the first tee, players have to put their thinking caps on, cause you have holes where you need to lay up and holes where you need to know where to place your shots..
no marshal
Got backed up 3 groups deep on the 5th (20 min. wait), apparently no marshal on staff on a Saturday to keep play moving along. Other than that the course provides a definite challenge for recreational golfers.
Not what it used to be.....
This course used to always be in excellent shape, especially for the money. The last few years have seen course conditions decline. Don't know what the two people that reviewed it recently are thinking! The greens are in horrible shape! Have been the last few summers. A couple are almost unplayable. They are kept soft and no one repairs divots. Not worth the money considering you can play Tiburon which is close to country club conditions for close to the same price. Shorter holes that can be reached by some longer hitters along with a crowded course means you'll have a wait on some of the holes. I loved this course a few years back....
One of my favorite
We had a good pace of play did not wait and played pretty quick
Great course for the money.
Our deal was for $18 for 18 holes w/ cart. When we checked in at the course they told us the deal was only supposed to be for 9 holes. However, they honored the 18 holes and started us on the 14th tee to make sure we could get 18 in without getting stuck behind an outing they were hosting. All and all it was smoking deal.
Shorter course but fun to play
This course is ALWAYS in excellent condition. Greens hold and putt well. Shorter course but with some trees, water & doglegs to add a little challenge. We got stuck behind a foursome of 2 old ladies, a grandpa and a little boy, so it played really slow, but still a fun course to play.....
Scenic Short Course
This was a very scenic golf course. With the length at 6000yds from the back tees, it was very playable. Greens were not very smooth but were above average for speed, for a public course. I enjoyed the course and will be back.
Good course for the money
The course is well maintained. Plays pretty short, so we played from the Blue's all day. Fun easy course for low skilled or beginners. Not very challenging, but I would play again for the easy day.
Nice Course, Fast Play
Pacific Springs is a great course for the average to good golfer. The prairie grass and rather lush vegetation, especially on the front nine, make looking for lost balls almost pointless. If you spray a lot of shots, this course is not for you. However, if you enjoy playing the game based on the course and not your own particular swing, this course presents a great challenge. It's not long but playing it right ensures you'll use almost every club in your bag.
fun coarse
great coarse that has some features that make it somewhat challenging. Fairways are excellent shape and greens are nice.
Good Value!
Course was in very good shape. A few greens beat up with ball and spike marks, but played on late Sunday afternoon so that might explain it. We played in 4 1/2 hours which was also pretty decent for Sunday afternoon. In MUCH better shape than last year.
Course was all around average
For close to $50 a round I think GPS on carts should be offered. Tee time was 30 min behind. Course is very challenging on the front nine.
Great course
Well maintained course. Great value for the money.
This course is short but will still challenge all levels.
Stay out of the high rough if you want to find your golf balls! Course very well maintained.
This course has a great lay out
Course is a little difficult if you can get a good tee shot but have a little problem landing 85 to 100 yards to the green.
Good Course and layout
Good Course and layout, good hole location and hole placement.
Nice Course
This course is not particularly long, but played long the day I was there because of wind and damp fairways. There are plenty of uphill and downhill lies to contend with as well as sidehill ones, even on good tee shots. If you are not familiar with how to adjust your setup for this, it could be a long day.
This course also has quite a few blind tee shots where you have no idea where the green is located. Members or those who have played the course a lot will have a distinct advantage, so don't be betting against them the first time out!
Good Spring Round
Got a chance to get out and play and I'm glad I did. I wasn't sure what to expect being this early and the fact we haven't had many warm days yet. The greens were actually in very good condition and had a good roll to them. A few spots in the rough are pretty bad where some grass is missing and its just dirt but overall for this time of the years, it was worth it!
