great greens
Except for #9 (I understand it was recently renovated), these were the best greens I've played this year.
Could be Great with Care
Great layout, and very fast greens. Otherwise, the course was like concrete and tee boxes were utterly destroyed. If this course watered regularly, I’d play it weekly. Condition now makes it nearly unplayable. Every shot in all locations is like hitting the ball off asphalt.
Awful golf course
Understand it’s still dormancy season and conditions aren’t top notch anywhere here - but everywhere else is better than this place. Aside from the awful conditions (besides the greens) there’s just always some weird things happening out here. Two some had no tee time but the clubhouse just told them to go - I was in a 3 some so we let them go first assuming they’d be quick (they were not at all - literally would stand on the green for 2-3 minutes after putting just holding the flagstick chatting on multiple holes)
Secondly there’s just random neighborhood folks that walk the course and play random holes at their leisure further slowing down play… lastly there was people on 2 carts blocking the path on a narrow area between 17-18 that we couldn’t go around claiming their cart was stolen and had a bicycle sitting on the passenger side… just can’t make this stuff up. Don’t waste your time attempting to play this course. They might as welll just shut it down and build more houses over it.
March round
The course is coming our of winter mode and there is very little grass.
Greens were fast and putted fairly true. Staff was friendly.
Good Greens
Course was in fine condition for this time of year. Some tee boxes were fairly bare. Greens were excellent. Pace of play was excellent though we were the third or fourth group off on a cold morning. Starter was great. Only issue I had was I was informed after paying that it was cart path only, which would've been great information to have prior to paying for a cart. No signs up prior to first tee.
Great February Day
For early February, the course was in good condition. Pace of play was excellent. Greens rolled very well and were a little fast. No complaints there. The only area that needed some serious work were the tee boxes. Many were hacked up and could afford to be redone.
Course mgmt forgot to lock down the tee sheet
Tee sheet was open allowed me to book a tee time and no notification of a greenskeepers revenge tournament was sent. Showed up and was told I could play. Tried to tee off at 10:20 (our booked tee time) was told I couldn’t tee off until 11 and would be sandwiched between 4somes shotgun starting all over the course. Took 3 hours to just play 9 holes cause of this tournament. Really wish the course would have properly locked down their tee sheet or tried to call and tell me about this, or just not let me book a time. Total waste of my Saturday morning. Won’t ever return to hedingham, they clearly don’t know how to run a golf course.
Great Greens
The greens are excellent....fast and true. Rest of course in ok condition for this time of year.
Pace of play sucked with a fivesome of members ahead of us!
Decent course. Excellent greens.
Nice course. Quite a few tight holes with OB on one or both sides.
Long distances between greens and tees so definitely not a course for walking - buggies required.
I would have given 4* if there were some distance markers on the course. I forgot my GPS watch and there was not a single distance marker on the course - which was particularly problematic on those holes where there is an approach shot over water or over a gulley. Spend a few $ to at least put in 150 yard markers.
Excellent greens - but no distance markers
Course condition was ok given the time of year.
Greens were excellent.
Big disappointment was the lack of any distance markers - no distances on sprinkler covers and not even any 150 yard posts or markers.
This omission cost you a star in my rating.
Long way between greens and yes Doo not a course for walking.
Slow Pace
Greens are very good. Lots of leafs in rough line.....you might want to consider using yellow/green balls. Fairways good for late fall, going dormant. Pace sucked for a Thurs....too many groups trying to kill a day rather than play ready golf.
