Tight Lies
Too many tight lies and not enough grass around the greens.
Pleasantly Surprised
The conditions at Quail Ridge were terrific, and I believe they have the best fairways in Sanford. I'm a local and will return here as soon as possible
Quail Ridge
It’s been 25 years since I’ve played Quail Ridge and it is still a lot of fun. The course was in great shape. I’ll be back for sure
Great course and practice areas!
I wish this course was a bit closer to my house!! Chipping and putting green in great, course layout is fun and allows you to change your style of play based on conditions, and never too busy as it is just outside the "Triangle area". Highly recommend!
Nice little track
Played this course on a get away day after playing Duke and Tobacco Road. Had an early tee time and the person at the front desk got me out 20 minutes before my time because I was a single and he didn’t want me to have to ride with a stranger. That was a nice welcome and it was much appreciated.
The course won’t wow you, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its tricks. The par 3s might not be long but they are testy with elevated greens, bunker protection and slopes. There really isn’t much danger off the tee, but the tiered greens will be a challenge.
The conditions were pretty good for the massive rain they got last week and cold nights. The greens, collars and fairways looked to have been over seeded recently which made them much more playable. The greens had some marks which could have been a fungus or growth from the overseed. Didn’t really impact the putts and the greens were medium/fast and rolled true. Rough was in rough shape, pun intended, but I’m hoping with some warmer nights it’ll wake up and fill in. Overall, really enjoyed this last minute track. If you want a fun round, good conditions and a nice staff I suggest you give it a shot here
This is a must play when in the area!
5⭐️s for Condition of greens and fairways. Cool track and pace of play on a really nice spring day as a 2 some was 3.5 hrs. Great value as the green fee is super fair for the area. Play it you won’t be disappointed
Never responded with an answer to my email.
Course layout not designed for fast round. My foursome held up on about every hole and the round took 5 1/2 hours. Fairways and greens just average. However, it is a nice layout if you have the entire day.
Excellent Course
Quail Ridge was an excellent course all around. The course itself was in great shape. I’ve read that they overseeded, which made for a very green, beautiful course, even under winter conditions. The greens were consistent and rolled true. There were no bare spots or damage. The bunkers were as soft as flour.
The overall layout was very nice as well. Each hole was unique and presented its own challenges, but wasn’t too challenging by any stretch of the imagination. It made for a very enjoyable outing. I highly recommend Quail Ridge and I plan on playing there again.
Great course
Staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Refreshing to play a course that constantly mindful of course improvement rather than just pocket the profits. A very sound long range decision
