OMAHA CLASSIC
Ask anyone over the age of 60 from Omaha and they played Spring Lake.
It is kind of like playing in my back yard, The greens are very good shape but have some very unusual breaks in them you wont see. Probably from decades of sand and aeration.
It is very hilly and difficult to walk. Although I do frequently. It is a good place to go for a quick 9 but not a destination course.
Course great GolfNow terrible
The course was great but GolfNow and the course are not integrated. The course had my tee time but had no idea how to charge the remaining amount after the fee was paid to GolfNow. Ended up paying more than what I owed according to GolfNow (only a couple dollars). I was told that GolfNow reserved the senior rate.
Course was in great condition considering the rain we got. The greens were pretty quick and had some really fun dips/slants to them. For a muni course would recomment.
Not bad.
This 9 hole executive course is not a bad test for intermediately skilled golfers. Good for driving, short game and putting. Slanted greens are quick but not unfair. Hilly fairways pose a challenge on most holes However, the gentlemen in the clubhouse could use a lesson in corduaity. The 1st informing us that carts weren't available even though our Groupon stated that they were included. The 2nd exclaiming unapologetically "No Carts Today!!! It Is Way Too Wet!!" All in all, we had fun and would do it again.
Paid for a cart, no cart available!
I loved this course. It was but mushy from rain. It even rained while we were there. The group behind us was a bit pushy. We did a pay and save because this is a cheap course anyway. But we got their and maybe because of rain no cart available. There was a sign on the door that says no carts until further notice. So, I don’t know if or when they will come back. I feel they should have an obligation to report this to Golf Now! The guy behind the counter was a bit rude but to be fair he sounded frustrated from repeating the no cart change. We chose to play but I feel cheated. I feel like we should could back the amount we paid for a cart we didn’t get!
Great for kids
Have a 8 year old getting into the sport - this course was wonderful step up from par three courses we have been playing. Staff was great . Forward tees were wonderful for beginners. Carts were in great condition
Love and hate
Course is in great condition. Lay out really makes you play smart. The greens…..don’t even get me started there is one hole with a a flat approach to the hole from any position but the rest of the greens you better be a pga tour pro to read the breaks, tough on the putting. All in all, next time I’m in Omaha I’ll be going back to try and beat them greens.
Good course
Only thing I would say is the greens were a little rough. Other than that it was a good course.
