WORST COURSE BY FAR!
This was the absolute worst course I have ever played on. Fairways and Greens were extremely poor! The greens aren’t even playable! Stay away from this place and save your hard earned money!!!
Underrated Course
This course is a great course with a ton of value. I really enjoyed playing there and going through my full routine. From check in, to the range, to playing - it was well worth my time. I really enjoyed my experience here and will continue to return to improve my game. Defiantly check this course out if you are in the mood for a challenging yet fun round.
Greens
Just wish the clubhouse told us some of the greens are not good. Like the course but giving a heads up would go a long way.
Course to build confidence
Fairways were not bad. They are doing a lot of maintenance to the greens. Worst greens ever played on at this time. Some greens were is great shape. Maybe a handful.
Tough flag placement and hills
More often than not, the hole was less than 5 feet from the fringe and on a slope.
5 unplayable greens
5 greens were unplayable, couldn’t putt on them,
With these conditions the course should lower the price and get the greens ready for play.
We Enjoyed it, Course needs work, but looks like they are performing that now
As a budget golfer I'm up and down on this review, the staff was extremely nice, golf carts work well, but very basic so fine by me. The only reason today I wouldn't recommend it to a friend over a place such as Mallard Head which is also budget friendly is purely the greens as they stand today they are being worked on. Many are freshly sanded, some are just dreadful with patches making it very bumpy, and impossible to gauge speed. But it looks like the team is working on fixing it. The only other issue we had was our tee time was 819, they don't have a starter so you just hop in line and it seemed like 3 or 4 groups cut us, we started 850. The fairways are mostly clover, but I had no issue puring my irons. Besides that id go back if Mallard is fully booked, and again staff was super friendly, and the price is SO CHEAP!
Municipal course in need of investment
Overall, there were aspects of this course that were quite nice, including a few challenging holes. Unfortunately, three of the greens are devoid of grass and are primarily gray sand. Most of the fairways were shortly cut clover, not grass, so even good shots down the fairway, the second shot was more like hitting out of the rough. The pace of play was quick and everyone was friendly. With the right care and investment, this course could be quite playable and enjoyable.
Needs Help
The course layout is good, but the greens were in pretty bad condition and there needs to be a better delineation between fairway and rough. the grass length is basically a rough cut throughout the entire course. The staff is great and the price is good.
First time at Twin Oaks
First time playing here and had a great time. Course is very forgiving as the rough was cut the same as the fairway. Only lost one ball. They were working on the greens when I played so putting was rough. Carts were great. Had a great time!
Way better places than here for pricd
Bad area… teatime is at 10:32 AM. Didn’t even get to tee off until 1115. Pace of play was horrible. The fairways were literally nonexistent. It was rough everywhere. The back nine was the worst back nine that I have ever seen. Staff was very friendly and kind. Three of the 18 greens were burned or completely sand. Absolutely atrocious conditions… should be 12-15$ for 18 with cart. Also no starter
Greens!!!!
Greens are in terrible shape!! No set tee times, says 25 on here was charged 27. Just don’t go!!!!
