Old school golf for a good price.
Course is old, cart paths are non existent. But it brings you back to the days of how golf was played back in the day. Greens are super small, but I had a lot of fun.
first time playing - enjoyed
first time on course, scorecard layout of holes was not as precise as i would have liked for a new player to the course. but course was in good shape for mid october. wet in spots, fast greens, good challenges, and no rush.
Refreshing reminder
Not much to say. The course is nice reminder of what golf was. The tiny greens remind you how hard golf can be. The holes offered a nice layout with some fun shots. The fairways are narrow and undulating. I had a great time and shot +2! I’ll be back out for sure.
Terrible
This course is god awful. Greens are as big as the ball, conditions suck, and the pace of play is slower than anything I e ever witnessed. If you have golfed more than 1 time in your life don’t go here. It costs nothing to play and still isn’t worth it.
Great course
The course this morning was absolutely amazing. It had rained the night before but the fairways and greens were in great condition. The greens are faster than they look so be ready to hit good putts or be long. All in all it was a fantastic course
Not worth it
The course is trash and pace of play is extremely slow. Only 9 holes. Smallest greens I've ever seen. It's only $17 and isn't worth it unless its your first time golfing. Staff is friendly but other that that avoid.
In need of additional supplies
Got a late start because there were not enough golf carts for the waiting people. As a result, we started 45 minutes late. Course is nice for a.nine hole. Starts backed.up again because of the. Cart situation. Not a good first impression.
This course needs rangers out
This was a very nicely staffed course and it would have been very enjoyable had they kept the pace of play moving. I understand its a public course but i golfed alone and i had to wait a solid 15-30 minutes on each tee box before i could hit and the people in front of me were so slow and had no golf sense or awareness enough to allow me through! I was so frustrated i quit after 7 holes. I would say the greens need to be cut lower as well but i was so frustrated at the fact it took me 3 hours to play 7 holes that i could care less what the condition of the greens are. Bottom line is i believe that there needs to be a staffed ranger to keep up the pace of play especially for those who do not know how to play.
A charming old girl
I tried Paschal today with my Father-in-law on a tip from a neighbor. We had played a local par 3 course recently and the tip was that Paschal was the same distance away, the same price but a full course with some Arnold Palmer history.
The tip was accurate. This 9 hole course has a fun and somewhat challenging lay out. It’s not particularly long, but considering that it’s over 100 years old, that makes sense. The main word I have to describe this place is charming. It’s by no means in outstanding condition. The fairways and greens are tall but I never seemed to mind. There’s not loads of trouble but the amount of blind shots and dog legs gave a first time player some tough times. There are NO cart paths. There’s some areas of dirt trails for the carts. I would definitely walk this place in the future. I loved that each hole had a name. I loved that Arnie walked these hills. I loved that I had a birdie and a handful of pars. The pro shop attendant was friendly and welcoming.
Overall, you get what you pay for here. It’s not great. It’s not long at all. There are no amenities. But, dang I enjoyed my round here. I’d definitely come back in the future for some practice and exercise.
Good value
A nice mix of longer and shorter holes. Well maintained. Good value for the money.
