Beau Rivage Golf & Resort
About
Beau Rivage Golf & Resort sits to the south of Wilmington's historic downtown and offers 18 holes of championship golf. Joe Gessner built the golf portion of Beau Rivage Golf & Resort back in 1988, and his work measures 6,709 yards over hills that undulate and valleys, with changing elevations and several sand traps and water hazards to test even the best of golfers. The award-winning golf course's signature hole is its fourth, which plays to 200 yards over water features to a green protected bon three sides by water and sand. After a round of golf, head back for the resort amenities, such as a full bar, grill and lounge with seats on the veranda -- or the pool and tiki bar. Beau Rivage Golf & Resort is known for its stellar golf vacation package deals.

GreatT Value
The course was in great shape and the pace of play was fast especially on a Friday. There is GPS on the cart which it very accurate and very useful. The best value in this area in my opinion.
great greens
a really good course. conditions are really good and the course is really a challange. we wll be back.
best course in Wilmington bye far
Best greens around. Wonderful short tight course with amazing greens
Fun, challenging course
challenging, fun layout and in great shape. Long distances between greens and tee boxes necessitate the use of a cart. Nice carts with GPS.
Greens were in great condition and true.
Booked that morning as a single and showed up early as it was the first time I ever played the course. Checked in the Pro Shop and bought a token for range balls. They were a fair value and the range was in good shape and could hit off natural turf. Staff was friendly and helpful. I expected to be placed with a threesome, but actually played as a twosome with a local who had played the course many times. We played the back tees even though that's a little long for me, but the greens were in great condition and I could score the same by chipping and putting. It was a great value and I had a great time and can't wait to go back and play with my son.
Excellent condition!
Great rate, no one on the course and the course is in wonderful condition. A perfect day.
Great shape!
The Beau is always in some degree of "good" shape but currently is in outstanding shape. The pro shop and course staff could not have been more accomodating as well. I picked up a last minute tee time of 5:20 and was treated as well as I have ever been at any course or time. The new carts and GPS just make this course even more of a value.
Nice layout; staff was very friendly
You wouldn't expect the changes in elevation being so near the coast. Had several blind shots. Wasn't overly tight off the tees but getting out of fairway certainly made things more difficult. Greens were in good shape...not overly fast. Played immediately after the final round of the member-guest tournament so pin positions were challenging. Would definitely recommend.
fun course to play
staff was very friendly...course was in very good condition...maybe a little expensive...
Greens were hard and fast but read true..
Second time I played Beau Rivage in the past 2 years and once again the course was in excellent condition. It is a visually attractive course, has a challenging layout and difficult but very fair greens.
I always enjoy this golf course.
A very good test of golf.
Beau Rivage was in very good condition with very smooth-rolling Bermuda Dwarf greens which, if you are above the hole, are difficult to two-putt with regularity.
Had a great day
Course was in great shape-excellent practice area.
Very beautiful and scenic surroundings
The course very well maintained. All eighteen holes have beautiful landscapes which give the course a nice and peaceful atmosphere.
Nice golf course-still prefer Cape Fear National
It was nice playing Beau Rivage, as my family and I also stayed right at the course. The greens were in good condition; however, the course layout was too narrow for my liking. In addition to having a tight layout, there were houses/apartments too close along some of the holes, which I wasn't a huge fan of. The golf staff on the inside wasn't all too friendly, especially when my wife and son, after taking a nap following a morning at the beach, were hoping to hitch a ride to meet me on the back 9 around hole #14...guess I'll just chalk that up to them having a bad day...the hotel staff was GREAT! My favorite in the area is still Cape Fear National and I will either return there next time in Wilmington NC, or try out Magnolia Greens again (been over 4yrs).
great staff and course
The entire staff was friendly, with the course in excellent shape. Golf carts are of high quality with GPS tracking. Pace of play a little sluggish due to preceding group, but otherwise an excellent experience.
Best course in area, will never forget the challenges, we will be back to play next year even if we have to drive 10 hours again!
Best course we played this year! We will be back to play this course next summer. Great website that allows you to plan for the day with lunch, practice, etc
Great course
Great course for the money, greens were in great shape which is how I always judge a course. Drains well, played right after a heavy rain and couldn't even tell
Great value for the money
Can't understand why this doesn't get more play. Excellent course with well maintained greens. Played many courses in Wilmington area and this definitely the best value for your money.
Best value course in the area
For the money, this course is the best in the area. Very nice fairways and the greens are in good shape. Not overly tough, but definitely has some difficult holes that will make you think. I was on vacation over the past week and liked it so much I decided to play it again later in the week.
Secluded play, you don't feel pressured.
Have played there a couple of times and loved it. This time there wasn't any GPS as advertised and the back nine was closed.
