Course in good shape and staff friendly. The layout is very nice.
Everyone was very nice and the course was in good shape. Although there were many golfers playing that day it was not overcrowded. The layout of the course in nice with each hole being very different from the others. My daughter and I played there as she has played it many times and enjoys the course.
2 distinct nine's
Course Layout: two different nines the front is short and open allowing for good scores on even wayward shots. The two par 5s are reachable with a good tee ball. The back nine really tightens up. forcing you to use 3 wood or hybrids off the tee if you driver is a little loose. All and all a good mix of holes.
Course maintenance: some left to desire most fairways are in good condition but some areas seem bare. Most of the greens are decent but a few look like someone was slamming a club up and down them. With a little work I would easily recommend this course.
Staff: very nice I never have had an issue with them as other reviews say.
This course was really great
One of the best courses I've ever played at in my young hacking career
Value
Front 9 was in rough shape and you could tell that they had been doing allot of work. Overall play was not effected. Fairways are overall less maintained than you would like, putting surfaces were good. Back 9 was in better shape, although fairways still rough. Overall I like this course and would play it again, especially since golfnow.com special let us play for $15/person.
superb
We had a great outting. The weather called for thunderstorms, and as a result, the course was wide-open. We ended up playing an addittional 9 holes (27 altogether), and finished 27 holes in just over 4 hours ( no we were not rushing at all). The course was in great shape, and we had such a marlevous, value-packed round, that we can't wait to go back. The only dow-side was my buddy chipping in for birdie when I was 1 shot down. But Pine Brook CC is definitely on our list to 'return very soon' !
Challenging but forgiving.
This course offers multiple holes with significant elevation change, especially on the back nine but not overly long. Good tee shots are rewarded by great looks at the green. I'm currently not a member but would put serious thought to joining especially for their price. A+ facilities.
Pine Brook Country Club
The pro in the club house was super friendly. The club house was great to see inside and out. The course was average at best. When the course was listed as private I was hoping for something to knock my socks off. Instead it was very very average. There was no holes that had anything thing that would catch your attention. It wasn't back and forth down the fairways, but I still wouldn't want to play a second time. Glad it was only $27.00

Classic design, well routed, good condition A sleeper in disguise
Excellent February Condition
Very enjoyable layout with scorable par 4's, well guarded par 5's, and key club selection par 3's. I could see this course's conditions becoming more than excelent in the upcoming summer. Nice track.
Pinebrook is a really good course.
Pinebrook is a great little course. The layout from Maples is super and the staff have always been super nice.
Great course,Great Price,Great Time!
Played the course many times,it consistently proves to be one the best courses in the WinstonSalem area. The staff is always on top of things, never had a bad or six hour round there.
RP
Course is in good shape. Fairly open.
Not a difficult course. In good condition for time of year. There is ongoing maintenance for improvements. Noted 6-8 workers. They are trying new concepts to improve appearance and playability. I want to play in warmer conditions to see effects of improvements.
Great course! Greens were nice!
Three of us played, it was a little slow on the back nine. But we had a great time and enjoyed the course.
Consistent quality
Very friendly staff. Course is well maintained and presents a good challenge to all levels of golfers. The greens are very fast, like most I've played in the late fall this year.
I would play this course monthly.
I feel that for the Fall season this course was in excellent shape. The staff was friendly and helpfull. I will play this course again, especially with the Golfnow discount.
Modest private club feel with a good course...worth the time/money.
I would make Pine Brook CC my "home" club/course if I could just put together a decent 18 holes there instead of only 9 at a time! Guess that's the challenge that keeps me going back...
nice, fast greens
Played with a couple members that showed me around the course. Fairways are coming in & should be far better next season. The greens were fast & very nice even though they had been aerated 2 weeks prior. Pine Brook is a fun track with several easy birdie holes.
Private course open to the public
This is an Ellis Maptes designed course on the northwest side of Winston-Salem. There are no contrived holes , as this is an older course that had good available land to use. I enjoy the layout and the conditions are very good. Greens are medium fast . My favorite thing about the course is the fact that it is not usually crowded. I often go as a single in the late afternoon and rarely come up on anyone.
