Geographical center of North America they say...
A quick stop off of Hwy 2 in North Dakota brings you to the town of Rugby, which claims to be the geographical center of North America. It's actually incorporated into their logo as well.
This course is a nice 9 hole course that brings you some elevation changes on nearly every hole. Some much more extreme than others. A little surprising to somebody who didn't know what to expect.
The pro shop is more of a bar than anything, the staff was very nice. I didn't encounter but one other golfer on a Saturday evening. Not much difficulty here other than the elevation and ample trees lining the fairways. Water does come into play on a few holes and there is some sand too. At the time I played there was a lot of GUR. If you're on Hwy 2, stop in for a quick round.
