Beechwood Golf Course boasts three unique nines: Woodland, Creekside, and Lakeview; that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Opened in 1989, the Woodland/Creekside Course was the club's original layout before it was joined by the Lakeview nine in 1997. It is now the only 27-hole golf course in Darke County. The course starts out playing through dense forest, requiring accuracy to avoid getting lost in the treetops. The seventh hole on Woodland and the third hole on the Creekside nine are particularly notable for their severe dogleg left fairways. Extensive mounding throughout the golf course works in combination with the already hilly terrain to make finding an even lie nearly impossible. To make the course even more challenging, water hazards come into play on 11 holes.

Fun Course to play!

Beechwood is a tad out of our usual travel to play golf, however, a Tee Time Golf Pass made the trip worthwhile. The course is in good shape, the greens are hard and any shot that lands/rolls to the side will generally roll off. Greens putted fairly well. Previous reviews mentioned to poor condition of the bunkers, but it is obvious that they have been working on them. Beechwood has three 9 hole courses so variety is the name of the game there. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and we definitely will return in the future, NOTE: did not utilize the snack bar so I cannon comment on that aspect.

Greens were fast and inconsistent

Overall not a bad visit. The staff was friendly and the pace was excellent, 18 in 3 hours! However, the greens were very inconsistent. Most were hard and fast. Many golfers grumbling that good shots wouldn't hold. The value was good but not sure I'll go back due to the greens.
