first visit to Ashland
quick greens and winding fairways make this track a course for shot makers. You'll need to control the tee ball here. Most fairways are tree lined and errant shots can cost you. loved the challenge at Ashland. We drove down from Cleveland and it's worth the drive.
Can't wait to tackle this course again soon.
Great course conditions
Played as a single and finished in two hours playing 18 on a somewhat busy day. Great par 3's and hole 12 is very challenging! Layout is very nice! Elevation changes are a great challenge.
good course
I love it. Thanks/. please accept short review.
Otherwise they would not review it.
Classic design and country club feel
Ashland Golf Club a great example of early 20th design. Tree lined fairways weave their way through the woods and over gently rolling terrain. Free range balls and a nice putting green. The Pro was very welcoming and encouraged me to hit balls, warm up and take my time, just asked that I teed off an hour within my tee time (before the next group of tee times was scheduled to tee off). Played as a single and played fast. Nice set of pair fives, fun course.
Excellent course.
This course is beautiful. The fairways are immaculate along with the tee boxes. Greens are tricky and roll true. Have played many courses in north east Ohio and this definitely one of the nicest courses around.
Great Track
Even though it rained most of the day, this is a great place to play. Excellent condition, great holes, & a real test of your skill. Highly recommend.
A Peaceful Old Course
It was well worth for us to drive out there on weekend.
Mature and appropriately challenging.
What a gem ... Very well maintained and manicured. Mature trees line most fairways with creeks and sand traps appropriately placed to ensure golfers of all levels are challenged. I am a mediocre player and felt very comfortable playing this course ... Loved the challenge.
GREAT COURSET
OUTSTANDING GOLF COUIRSE. DO NOT PLAY THE BACK SET OF TEES UNLESS Y9OU ARE A SINGLE DIGIT HANDICAP
Beautiful challenging course
I played this course while in town visiting family. I am not sure what the normal Saturday rate is, but well worth the $25 deal I got. Extremely well maintained and the clubhouse was recently updated. Pace was slow, but I was playing alone on a Saturday...lots of large groups in front of me. Much nicer than a lot of $20-$30 courses available in the Columbus area.
Great course
A fantastic course and very friendly staff. I highly recommend.
Ashland Golf Club
Great Course. Conditions of greens and fairways were excellent and provided a really nice challenge. Staff friendliness is great. The only negative is the pro shop (or lack thereof) because there is no real food. That is just being picky though! Great value for the money.
GREAT course!!!!
This is a GREAT course to play and the staff was AMAZING!!!!!!! I think what, I like most about the course is it's county club feel. Which is really hard to find now days. Worth the ride Gooo play!!!
Classic Old Course
Extremely well maintained course. Trees, creek, small, well trapped, greens (many with difficult slopes) make the course a real challenge despite its relatively short length. Staff was friendly and helpful and on this particular day there was no crowd so the pace of play was fast. Building a new clubhouse, so could not fairly rate the facilities, but the course was immaculate. Would highly recommend if you like the classic old country club experience. Were intending to play Deer Ridge this day, but chose this because of a golf now deal and am really glad we did--will undoubtedly be back.
More people should know about this course
We have been fortunate enough to play Ashland the past several years. This is a great old school course. It's not very long, but you can't overpower it because of it's smaller greens and mature trees. From the tips, you'll use most, if not every club in your bag. The staff is great. For a small club house they have everything you could need at a very reasonable price. For the money, this is one of my top 3 in that part of Ohio.
