great greens
poor fairways, great greens, we only got through 3 holes and got rained out.
Found a good deal. Average course. Worth it for the deal but I would never pay normal prices to play this course.

course needs attention!
fairways had sparse grass. greens had blemishes and the overall appearance of the course was that is was a pasture instead of a maintained golf course.
Fairways need some attention
Clubhouse staff was pretty rude. I was in line waiting to pay. I told her I booked on golf now and she made me wait to take care of other people behind me cause I booked on golf now.
Nice greens, poor fairways
For a total out of pocket cost of $15 for 18 holes with cart, I can't complain about the value, but the overall condition of the fairways was very poor. The greens were quite nice in comparison to some other "better" courses in the area which made up for the lack of grass in the fairways. The course is challenging enough and has enough character that I would go back for the same price.
Needs Help!!
This used to be a great course but needs some serious attention. Fairways were almost non-existent, some of them had more weeds and dirt than actual grass. Overall it is a good course to play but don't pay more than $20.
Just Aweful!
This is the WORST condition I have ever seen a golf course. There was no grass in the fairways, or rough. The greens were in the beginnings of getting overrun by disease. The tee boxes were hard as a rock. I don't think they have done anything to maintain this course all year. There is no way a golf course should look like this, especially with the mostly good weather that we have had this summer. They really need to plow this place under and make it a driving range, or a park. When I informed the lady behind the counter, that we wouldn't be playing the second nine, because of how awful the first nine was; she pretty much ignored me and I walked away. Do not go here at any cost!
Wait until next year to play
Haven't played here in several years. All the rain we have had this year along with the poor drainage many of the fairways have been destroyed. The tee boxes are shot, with weeds and dirt. The greens weren't too bad. They were in good shape, but beaten up by golfers without etiquette. Cleat marks, ball marks etc.
If you can play it in the spring while it's in decent shape it's a tough little course. Very narrow fairways and tricky greens. But wait until next year, or you'll be wasting your money.
front 9 needs work
the front 9 was in poor condition fairways had little grass on them. score cards only give you hole # par and distance
Worst course I've ever played.
Being fairly new to golf I am always eager to try out new courses. I have spent the last two years golfing as many courses I can here in north east Ohio. I was very excited to golf Avondale as a friend of mine had told me how nice it was, he couldn't have been more wrong. I can honestly say I have not one positive thing to say about this course, from the time we arrived, through our round, till we left it was thoroughly dissapointing. We arrived at the clubhouse five minutes before our tee time to wait in a lengthy line. The behind the desk scene seemed chaotic and disorganized. When we finally got to the front, the lady helping us had no idea what golfnow.com was and told us we would have to wait for someone else to get there. Now forty five minutes after our tee time we finally approached the first tee. Obviously with all the chaos and congestion in the clubhouse there was again a lengthy line waiting to tee off. We decided to start off the back nine instead. Just before taking my tee shot a man approached us in a cart cussing and yelling. Apparently he was the "starter" and was furious that we were teeing off on the back nine. I apologized and told him I honestly didn't think a place of this caliber warented a "starter". He told us if we didn't like it we could leave. We should have left. The rudeness, slowness, and incompetence we had just delt with didn't hold a candle to the course condition. It was awful. I can't even believe that they can consider that a golf course. The fairways were a mixture of swamp land and dead grass. It seriously looked like every fairway had been set on fire. The swampland that was present on every hole smelled like sewage water. I wouldn't golf here again for free. I spoke with my buddy that originally recommended the place, and he said he hasn't golfed there in fifteen years, but it used to be nice. Well I am here to tell you folks that its not any more.
Fun course for all golfers
The course was fun, with each hole being different than the previous. Good variety and challenges amongst the holes. Great staff as well.
good value for under $20
fast greens. nice fairways. great for 3 wood play. too narrow for driver. challenging for 20 handicapper.
This course has great greens.
This is a fantastic course will some narrow fairways and well maintained greens. It can be easy if you are a long hitter, however it still offers many challenges. It is a very good course if you are looking to get out and play, without spending much money or time on the course.
Not worth the money
I thought $18 for 18 and a cart was good, I was wrong. The carts barely started first thing in the morning, their also about 15 years old. There were no cart paths so the fairways were worn down. No direction on which way the next hole was at. We had one of our carts stuck in the mud. The place needs to be sold to someone who will invest some money into it,
greens were in very good shape
Nice corse with a good open feel. The back nine plays tighter than the front. The greens were fast and in very good shape.
Very relaxing with enough challenge to keep you coming back.
This is my new " home" course. Not perfect but they allow you to play with your group, the staff respects the golfers and alway say "hi". Just a comfortable place to play with some fun holes from the Blue's. My wife loves it as the two of us can always get out alone so she can play her version of the game.
Greens are kept up and the back nine have plenty of trees to keep you honest.
average
greens are in great shape and fast. fairways need work. tee box need some work . tree's need to be trimed.over all experience, good . i did not shoot par. good bang for the buck!
Nice track to get some practice
Very few people on course during very nice weather day. Course was adequatly maintained and was a bargain for the hot deal. Played 18 in under 2hrs.
