Nice course
Course in good shape. Pace of play was great, layout is straight forward but a little short even on the tips.
Sweetbriar Legacy in Great Shape
Legacy is fun to play; this afternoon was light play due to pending rain......and I did get wet, but intermittent rain, not enough to close the course. Back9 sty, #10 is tough par4, and didn't start playing well till front9, which scored -1 due to 13putts (birdies 2&5). Nice to see tee #6 moved back to origy position, which results in a great hole. Thanx to GolfNow for the great price ....and I will be back.
Hi, DAB4par. Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Sweetbriar Golf & Pro Shop - Legacy Course.
Bad conditions
Played today worse conditioned course I have played all year. Bunkers had rocks in them and the greens were horrible with huge gashes and imperfections everywhere.

Fun course and good conditions
I enjoyed the layout of this course and the conditions were pretty good. All of the staff was very friendly. Lots of unfixed ball marks in the greens but may have just been the people I was playing behind. Little pricey though.

Not worth the money, Not investing in the course
Sweetbriar is a good place for beginner to intermediate golfers. It seems like the owner is more interested in building more homes around the course than they are investing in the course itself. This course used to be a nice and tough track but they have not invested to keep it top shelf. This place is worth $25 to $35 per round.
Hi, johnrzimm44140! Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. Please know the current conditions are by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We will continue to work towards a 5-star experience and we hope to see you back!
Great Course
Haven't played here in a few years, since it hasn't been on GolfNow. Course in great shape, the Legacy side has always been the best side. Starter is really friendly and seemed to be a all around good guy. Can't wait to see the third nine after all the construction is complete....maybe an executive par 3 course is in the plans, that's would be awesome...

So slow 5 hour round
It took about 90 minutes to play the front .We were told it was thin out on the course by the starter and the front nine holes were perfect pace of play. Then can the back when we pulled up to the box on 10 we could not tee off for about 35 minutes and about 3 1/2 hours later we were finished our playing partners left after hole 13 because we were sitting at every hole waiting. Not really sure why i spoke to a regular golfer out there and he advised me that with the Sweetbriar course being under construction some of the people that would normally play that course are now playing the legacy course and it has caused the slower play because of the level of play needed to play the legacy course from the sweetbriar course is maybe part of the problem. In closing legacy has always been a place i would try and play a few times a year because of how much i enjoyed the whole experience and how well keep the track was but i am really sad to say i will have to wait a year or so before i return because i fear things will be a little stressful out there for a bit , With what is charges for a round and the time it takes to play the course my money may be better spent elsewhere .
Memorial Day Weekend Golf
Found this course on GolfNow as I was traveling from Dayton to meet my family in the Cleveland area. Aside from my brother breaking his new Driver on the range prior it was a great day. The course is excellently laid out and provides challenges on every hole. The fairways were well maintained and provided ample room for shots. Overall a great course and I look forward to playing it again
excellent conditions
Sweetbriar is in great shape. Fairways lush, greens pristine, rough not too penal. Good test but not too difficult. Front nine shorter, tighter, with tree trouble off fairways. Back nine longer, more open. Really enjoyable!
Great place
Early in the season and things were great. Only had time for the front 9 but it was great. Shot a 41. That’s actually good for me. Kudos to all the people that make things happen there.
Thank you for visiting us at Sweetbriar Golf Club! We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.

Great course, questionable greens
Tea boxes, fairways, and rough we're all in great condition due to the rain we had earlier in the week. But the greens were full of pitch marks that people failed to repair. Since they are tearing down the sweet buyer 18, it seems as though everyone is playing the legacy course, and not taking care of it. Just know if you play later in the day you were going to have to compete with very bumpy greens
Nice course, too high of a price
Staff was very friendly, no issues from the starter or ranger.
Overall the course is in good (not great) condition. For the price would have expected the greens to be smoother, too many unfixed pitch marks. No sand bottles in the carts, so fairways were littered with divots.
For me personally, the course was a little too short. Only used driver on the par 5s and one par 4. Very basic and standard layout. Forced layups on most holes because of trouble placement or hole structure, made for a boring round.
For the price, I would have expected the range to be complimentary. And a few more amenities to be included and/or nicer. The range is SUPER short. I would never pay full price for this course.
