This has uniques holes and greens and views.
The course is very easy to get to for the highway. the mix of Hills and slope openness was fun. The course is a hour and a half from me and I will drive to it again.
Serene and beautiful
First time playing this course, wish I had come when it was warmer in the summer! It is a very picturesque course with a lot of elevation changes. Make sure you choose your proper club wisely!
Good Day of Golf
This time of the year I believe Deer Ridge is the best course in the area. They keep the leafs off the course better than any one else. they will not plug the greens until Nov. Go Play if you get a chance.
SLOW
The course was so backed up! It is absolutely gorgeous and in great shape, but the slowness of play made the experience unenjoyable. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. I paid for 18, but was only able to play 9, which obviously sucked.
Nice, but too many blind shots
Nice course and in good condition, but I only gave it a 3 rating because of all the blind shots - including a par 3 where you can't even see the pin!
Great Deal Worth the drive
Awesome layout, very challenging. Friendly staff and great bar with good selection of draft beers.
Great layout. Nicely kept. Loved it!
Great layout. Nicely kept. Loved it & will play it again!
Wow! What a course. Don't tell too many people.
I had no idea this beautiful place existed so close to Columbus. its easy to get to and right behinnd Der Dutchman .
This may have jut become my favorite course of all time and I have played on many great courses.
Tee boxes are very well placed for golfers of all skills.
I can't wait to see this course in the fall colors.
The staff was very freindly and the food was outstanding. My burger looked like it was 1/2 pounnd and it was one of the best i have ever had. and for only 6 dollors.
Great location and a Hidden Gem
Beautiful course, friendly staff, and a great day of golf.
Hidden Gem
Hands down, the BEST course for your money in central Ohio... Great layout with HUGE elevation changes, tricky greens, and the staff and facilities are second to none.
Hidden Gem
I'm sure many golfers drive I71 all the time, but haven't seen this great course in Bellville, Ohio. It is a challenging test of golf with scenic beauty. Fairways are well kept and greens run fast on the numerous multi-teared greens. Local knowledge is a must, so you need to play this course over and over again. It is worth your while!
Who would have known?
Who would have known that a great golf course was hidden behind the Comfort Inn off exit 165 (71 South). The steep driveway to the clubhouse ends with great views off the deck of a course in Mid Ohio with great change of elevations. For the price, a must play.
A fair and fun test of golf.
Deer Ridge
Course was in excellent shape. Plays difficult because of the terriain. Lots of uneven stands when hitting the ball. Greens were very good. Rolled well. Difficult to read putts because of the undulations.
Had a difficult time getting the tee time booked. Time was on Gold Now but when I went to book it, it gave me an error message saying it was not available This was the second time this has happened at this course. Had to get a CSR from Golf Now to book the reservation
Best course in the Mansfield area.
This course is in excellent condition. The GPS units on the carts are a great help because of the numerous blind shots and terrain changes. The pace of play can be a problem depending on the time of day. Plan on using a cart or have a defibulator handy. The clubhouse offers a good menu and the views are nice.
Nice New Experience
First time at Deer Ridge and we not only saw deer, but turkeys and a black dog! Lots of fun, well-manicured course. The only downside was the wetness, but that's just the way it is in Ohio this year.
Beautiful
Very pretty course and very well maintained through a very wet season.
elevation!
I did not realize just how much elevation change there is at this course, up and down and back again. Very fun layout to play. Although we had a perfect day to play weatherwise, there had been a lot of rain in the days before this round, so while the course was a big spongy in spots it still merits at least 4 starts for conditions. I'm excited to see how differently it plays when dry. Also location is perfect for someone from the Cleveland area meeting someone from Columbus, about perfectly halfway between.
Greens way too slow
I'm used to playing this course with lightning fast greens but they were slow as mud yesterday. They weren't mowed or rolled. It's more of a challenge when the greens are fast. Other than that, I was pleased. Thanks!
Lucky to have this course in the area
Beautiful golf course! We are lucky to have this course in central Ohio and open to the public.
Wow!
Played this course on our annual boys golf trip and was more than impressed. Some of the most breath taking views you will ever find on a course. Watch out for the greens - they are very challenging but offer that extra excitement when you make a slick downhiller for birdie.
