Staff was nice. Would recommend this course to others.

Fairways and greens are in great shape, despite Fall conditions. The rough has some bad spots, but is still adequate considering the season. This course is hilly with lots of trees (trimmed high) and wide fairways. Greens are fairly flat. Overall, a good course. The facilities are a little suspect. My wife comments that the ladies room is very old, dirty and disgusting. The men's is bad too, but for most guys, it's enough. The driving range is either from mats or drive to the end of the parking lot for grass tees. The lady at the snack bar is very sweet and great to talk to. Overall, if you're a man and high handicapper, this is good course for you.

Played early on a Sat. morning. Pace was brisk and finished in 3.5 hours. Nice older course. Staff could have been a little friendlier and finding a cart was a little confusing, although this might have been due to being one of the first groups out. Clubhouse and rest room facilities in need of updating.
Greens were extremely challenging and rock hard.

I have played there several times. The one constant is the fast and challenging greens. The fairways can get dried out during the hot part of the summer and some fairways could be extremely wet during the rainy part of the year. There are plenty of trees tall and short to add to the challenges. I highly recommend you play this course.

I found this to be a great price for 18 holes and a cart. I teamed up with two other singles that were there because they used golfnow.com.. Great day,ready to do it again!

Fast greens. Stay out of the trees and you'll be fine.

Nice course not too far from akron. Greens were fast even in the light rain. Greens were small and difficult to get close for birdie. Play was fast staff was friendly, great value for the money

Fairway grass needed mowed. Lost balls due to tall grass.

This was the first time I played here. Luckily, we were the last ones out as my wife was with me, and this was her first time. Probably wasn't the best choice for a first timer, as there were plenty of hills and most of the greens were not clearly visible from the tee.

That is more of a compliment than a criticism. The hills gave me different challenges that I haven't seen (Yes, I'm new). The course was very well kept, cart paths were clear. Drink prices were some of the cheapest I've seen. Nice driving range. Great value. I can't wait to come back here.

This course reminds me of the courses that I grew up playing, nice layout, tree lined, smaller greens, well maintained, not trying to be a pseudo country club. The course could be considered tight in that if you miss the fairly generous fairways, there is very little rough before you are in the tree line. The tree lines are not overly thick, you can play through most of them, or back to the fairway if necessary. As a matter of fact there was a crew trimming lower hanging branches on the trees, so they seem to keep up with things to promote faster play. The greens were a little thin in spots, mainly I believe to the heavy rains that have plagued this part of the country lately and golfers not repairing their pitch marks, so that when the greens mower cuts over an unrepaired ball mark it leaves a nice bare spot. The greens were fairly fast and rolled mostly true though. The gentleman in the pro shop was super friendly, the starter seemed like he would rather have been somewhere else. Overall a very good experience, and we will be returning soon.

This is an older course, once part of a swim, tennis, golf club. It is a tight, tree-lined layout with smallish greens. It is not as pristine as I suppose it once was, but the course is not only a great value but challenging, too. The greens are firm and putt true. If you stray off the tee, you're in trouble. The design is great. This is definitely not a newer, manicured gem, but it is better than most courses in the area.

Hit a ball 10 feet off the fairway, and unless you have an audience along the course or a spotter, good luck... Ice skating rink for greens as well... Hit a beauty of a wedge shot, then watched it skate the length of the green off the other end. Frustrating for an average golfer, fun killer for any kind of a beginner... Sorry, but just cannot recommend. This is not a U S Open prep course, so just cut a little of the deep clover like rough just a couple feet away from the extreme tight fairways down some guys.... Lost 4 balls, found 3

Tee boxes are groomed, greens are quick, rough is challanging, staff was great. The course is not long but very challanging.

Not a lot of water or sand hazards, wide plush fairways, and manageable rough

I was somewhat surprised at the length of the course. It played at about 6900 from the tips and sloped at 128. The greens were receptive and they putted well in spite of being recently verticut. Very difficult par 3's at about 205 average. Not much to surprise you what you see is what you get. very straight forward with no hidden streams, lakes bunkers etc. Tree lined fairways, small fairly flat greens. You will use every club in your bag and if your driver is off a little you'll truly be challenged. Fairways are not overly wide but you can hit them if you are on that day. Enjoyed the course but the pace of play on a weekday was ridiculous. Need a marshall to keep things moving. Had one occasion where a twosome just cut in front of a foursome on a par three and played as if they owned the course. No way that should have happened. All in all a nice course but not a great course.

Skyland Pines was well maintained with ball washers everywhere & great fairways.

overbokked as usually and very slow play with 2-3 groups behind at every hole. there was a starter ranger to get your slip to make sure you paid then, they just don't care how slow the bad golfers go.

After reading review about this course before playing I was not sure if I wanted to drive an hour from home and play here good thing I did was very nice and worth the drive...

Great course for all skill levels. Open fairways. We never had to wait for the group in front of us, and it was the Sunday of Memorial Day. Will golf here again.

First time I played this course and enjoyed the experience. I played with my grandson (13) and would play here again.
