layout takes advantage of landscape but course in rough shape
Great value using golfnow, but course in rough shape with problems on greens and fairways not maintained
Nice people, course not so much
The fairways are a mess and the greens need so much work. The staff is very friendly but in the end, you have to play the course. I hope they work hard at getting it in better shape for next year.
Course not busy on a Sunday
Course was playable considering all the rain we received on Friday night and Saturday morning. Greens rolled true and were in decent shape. Tee boxes do need some attention. If you get a a good price, it is ok to play.
Average course for the money
This was a place to go out and hit the ball. Some greens were cracked and some fairways had water damage.
Not Sure I'll Play There Again
Played Friday morning to scope out the course for an outing on Saturday morning. We got through the course pretty quick and the group in front let us play through without us even asking because they were getting a feeling we were going to play fast. Pretty nice. It's not a bad layout, it just needs a greenskeeper that knows what they are doing. Many of the greens were pitted and some of the fairways are flat out destroyed. At $28 you almost get what you pay for. The hospitality and organization on behalf of the course was seriously lacking for the outing. Pin markers were not put out on the Par 3s and we were not allowed to put our bags on the clearly marked carts until 5 minutes before the shotgun start was scheduled to begin. There are a lot of options along that stretch of road out there. I don't think I will be making the turn down Station Rd again any time soon.
Lots of fun
Not a PGA course, but great time good staff and just enough challange to make you want to go back and try to beat your score. I will be back........
Medium
The course needs some work, especially the tee boxes so dry and hard cant hardly get tee in them, and the yardage markers are a lil off but the greens were in good shape and the beer was cold
Great Value
The course is a great value on GolfNow. My wife and I enjoy playing here at our own pace. greens are great, the rest needs attention. Overall, a lot of fun for a good price.
for the money it was a good deal
most of the course was in good condition but a couple fairways were extremely muudy with alot of bare spots
new course to me good deal thxs to golfnow
ave condition plenty of length but does have senior tees anybody can play to their skill level. not crowded even on weekend. all in all good deal and conditions
Can't complain one bit!
Overall an easy and fairly open course, although the back 9 narrows up a little bit. The rough was long and challening making hitting into the well-manicured fairways a must. There are some moments where you have to make some shots and get placement correct, otherwise you'll find yourself laying up.
The greens were in fantastic shape, just awesome! They rolled true and were a pleasure to play on.
With the exception of about 3 holes, most of the par 4s and 5s are pretty straight with minimal elevation change. There is one 90 degree dogleg that forces you to hit your tee shot very accurately (190 yds.).
I can't say enough about the condition of this course for the money I paid. Only "downside" (and I use that term loosely) is that the course is pretty easy. My first time there with no knowledge of the course and playing from the back tees (6,500 yds.) and I shot a 79. I'm usually a 15 handicap.
not real challenging but some fun holes
considering all the rain we had prior to playing course was very wet and soggy. The cart paths need some attention but had an enjoyable round with good friends.
Pleasantly Surprised!
Very nice layout with some challenging holes. Impressive mature trees and plenty of water. Not in Country Club condition, but not horrible. Very playable considering recent rains. Will play again!
just OK
Looks fine from the website and when driving in, but it definitely needs some attention. There really isn't any distinction between the fairway and the rough. Holes are pretty straight forward and don't require much skill. The cart paths are bumpy. Staff was nice, but didn't really understand the golfnow.com method (and didn't have any way to know that I booked a time.
ok couese with slow greens
The course staff is friendly and easy to work with. The course is rarely too busy. The fairways aren't picturesque but they are not uncut and overgrown. The greens played slow due to needing maybe a little shorter cut. I have played it a few times but its not bad as long as you don't over pay. Overall the course is OK to play and is good for just a day out.
Great deal for an above average course.
One of the better deals for 18 and a cart you can find. The grounds can use a bit of work but the course is generally gorgeous and removed from society. One of my favorites in the Cleveland area.
Fun, playable course
Dorlon was in pretty good shape for this time of year. Fairways were decent with some roll, and greens were running well, but a little slow for what I'm used to there.
two for tueday
I mean 16 bucks each for 18 and a cart,,,, what else is there?
Great value with a hot deal
Played Dorlon yesterday and paid $7 for 18 with a cart, thanks GolfNow. Course was in good condition, not much diference between fairway and rough, greens faster than I thought they would be. Course is very flat with some sand traps, ponds and creeks. One hole with a 90 degree dogleg to the right, all others were either straight or bent to the left which worked great for my draw and killed my partners fade.
