Pine Valley/St. Andrews at Emerald Woods Golf Courses

Great golfing day hard to get to course since main road closed had to use detour and then St. Andrews which was the hot deal was also closed.

This course is wide open which is great for beginners. Greens were in great shape, tee boxes were nice as well but the fairways and roughs were dry. A lot of dead grass and dry spots. I would play this course again for the right price.

Course was in good shape. The greens where the best that I have ever seen here. Fairways where in decent shape, some bald spots. Rough was high in places and you could actually tell you where in the rough.

$15 Golf Now deal made it tolerable but fairways are awful. It's a shame cause it was probably a great coarse at one point. Ball washers full of muddy water...something like that is an easy fix but seems nobody cares. Greens are in decent shape and staff couldn't be nicer but coarse in need of some serious TLC...

This course is what you expect. Nothing fancy but it plays like a solid golf course. Fairways were cut and weed free. Rough was managed fine. The greens rolled flat and in nice condition. Got this for a great deal and would definitely play it again for the same deal. Suggest playing early in year before it gets burned out or beat up.

This course is what it is, and doesn't really try to be much more than that. It has good length at 6600 yards, but on 15 of the holes you can hit it where ever as there is little trouble and the rough isn't penal. This course can take a beating over the summer, but it was in good shape this early in the year. The greens hold, and weren't too bumpy, and the fairways can be patchy in spots, but if you are looking for a cheap round to get your game going or a place to play quickly its a good place for the GolfNow price. Played in under 4 hours with a foursome in front of me. Staff was very nice (both of these have been hit or miss in the past)

Payed $27.50 for 18 holes with a cart on Golfnow. Arrived at course and found and outing ready to go off. Asked starter if we were going to be able to make he turn. We were told "No problem". Tried to make the turn and were put behind a SIXSOME that's right, a SIXSOME!!! Went to the club house and were told too bad. We were offered a $4 refund. We explained that an 18hole round is $27.50, exactly what we paid. Asked for a rain check for 9 holes and we were laughed at. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. Course is awful anyway. There's a reason it's called Emerald Weeds. STAY AWAY!!

One of my favorite courses when it comes to the layout. I played heather stone for this past 9 and the grass wasn't well kept on the fairway yet the other three 9s are gorgeous. Definitely recommend giving this course a shot. Hopefully the grass will improve next season

The fairways were in fair to poor condition with large swatches without grass. The greens were very slow and sonewhat bumpy. The greens were receptive but needed to be rolled.

The Pine Valley nine was in terrible shape (slight understatement)...............
You could not differentiate between the fairways and rough (when you could even find grass) and the greens were extremely spongy.
I have never left a golf course before the completion of a round for a non-weather related situation............until yesterday.
In fairness, I cannot comment on the St. Andrews nine due to my total disgust with the Pine Valley course.
I understand that everyone has a different level of tolerance with regards to acceptable course conditions and I normally will lend consideration to a variety of reasons. Having said that, I (personally speaking) won't lend consideration to returning to Emerald Woods.

Decent value for money course, except for condition of fairways. Very nice greens, adequate tee boxes. Fairways, however, were mostly matted dead grass interspersed with tufts of grass struggling to live. Looks terribly overwatered, and in need of serious aeration. Course likely built on clay. With plenty of other courses in area will look elsewhere.

Additionally, no water on course for golfers, nor anyone roaming the course to sell beverages.

Really needs some help and some TLC. Lots of brown patches and burnt earth. Greens were in great shape but the seniors tee boxes, fairways, and low rough really need water, mowing, and some grass seed. Saint Andrews also needs some landscaping done. Would recommend the course of someone needs a day away from it all

The course has a nice setup, people are nice. BUT!!! The course condition is not great. The greens are nice but the fairways are mostly in TERRIBLE shape. Good luck finding a place to aim your ball

Got a great deal with a hot deal, but still not worth the little money that we paid. The greens were in very good condition, but that is where it ends. I know we have had some harsh weather, but not to water the fairways at all, they were burned out and we had a very hard time playing from the "fairway." Staff was not friendly. Will have a tough time coming back again.

Fairways cut n green but very wet in spots. Greens in very good shape.

I didn't understand until after I paid for 18 that only one 9 was open. The course looked great except for the casual water.

Tee time was available with no issue. Staff was very accommodating and no waiting. Good morning of golf.
