The Kittyhawk Golf Center facility possesses three of only six municipal golf courses in the Dayton area. The Hawks Course is one of two regulation courses at Kittyhawk and there is also one executive course. The courses are very similar in landscape and challenge but the Hawks Course is the shorter of the two regulation courses. The terrain is flat with trees scattered throughout. The course is fairly open with fairways that are wide open and the greens are large with subtle breaks. Man-made lagoons create water hazards that come into play on fourteen holes and there are many sand bunkers as well.

Good Off-season round
Flat course built around water treatment plant / storm water over flow. Course had solid greens and was the shorter of the two regulation courses. Review is for Hawk course.
Great value....
Course (Hawk) is in good shape other than the sand traps which are and have been terrible shape for the last 5 years. Fairways are green and receptive for being aug... Greens are in great shape .....Get there early to beat the leagues
Revisiting A Course From Youth
I played the Hawk a ton when I was a kid. The course has changed a bit since then, with trees more grown and a LOT more water but it was still fun to play. The weather wasn't great but the course was in decent shape (tees needed watered, greens were too firm). All in all, it was a good day and I had fun playing a course from my past!
First time player at Hawk
Loved the course and the greens!! Very good pace of play. Took me 2 1/2 hours to play 18. Definitely will play there again!!
Nice course
Nice course with great greens but the fairways need to be cut a little lower because you don’t get any roll. It can use a few more ball washers and have more than one beverage cart running
Great experience
I must have dropped my wallet when I got it out to retrieve the ticket at the starter's shack - someone found it and turned it in!
The course was not crowded at all - I played by myself, and although it was hot and a little windy at times, the weather conditions were pretty awesome.
The fairways and greens could use a little water, but other than that the course conditions were good - rough was not that bad, so an errant shot or two didn't kill my round. Errant chipping and putting did!
Great course for the money...
Nice for a public course the greens are in nice condition sand bunkers are a different story alot of small rocks and very little sand in most bunkers. Very friendly staff in the pro shop hit or miss when it comes to the restaurant usually closed in the early morning tee times ....
Yuck
Course was horrible. Greens were absolutely awful. We had a guy playing alone ahead of us, but hitting probably 6 balls on every shot. I yelled to him and he flipped me off then went onto another hole.
For a City Course
it was in awesome shape been a long time since I have seen this course look and play so good. Fairways and Greens were just perfect. Keep up the great work
the course is pretty flat, otherwise it is a nice layout
with nice people and amenities.
Nice Muni
I love city owned courses and hope more cities would see the value in investing in them. Great for the community.
Kittyhawk was in really good condition. Greens were perfect. My only knock is I thought the fairways were long. Nice open lay-out plenty of challenge from sandtraps and water.
