About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 05/2020.
The Kittyhawk Golf Center facility possesses three of only six municipal golf courses in the Dayton area. The Hawks Course is one of two regulation courses at Kittyhawk and there is also one executive course. The courses are very similar in landscape and challenge but the Hawks Course is the shorter of the two regulation courses. The terrain is flat with trees scattered throughout. The course is fairly open with fairways that are wide open and the greens are large with subtle breaks. Man-made lagoons create water hazards that come into play on fourteen holes and there are many sand bunkers as well.

Good course
Good well kept course with not to many trees for us novices
Not to bad
The greens was not to bad. The tee boxes ok. The fairway was cut but left grass clippings all over the place.
Good for the right price.
Not a bad course. Challenging in spots, reasonably priced. I'll be back.
Goat Ranch
The Hawk at kittyhawk was in very bad condition. The fairways were mowed to about 2 inches so you got no roll at all. I lost two balls on straight down the middle tee shots because the grass was so high in the fairway. The rough was a joke, it just wasn't mowed. Weeds everywhere and half filled mud pits that were supposed to be water features. Greens were OK except the few that had tire tracks right next to the cup.
Staff were nice, beverage girl came around several times but other than that, it was a waste of money. I can't believe they charge 30.00 for 18 w cart.
Below-average course. Poor fairways, nice greens.
The fairways and rough were very hard and dry, and didn't have very nice grass. The greens, however, were soft, and watered nicely. This course has lots of water, but not that much of the water is in difficult playing positions. The course is long, and plays long.
Love the Hawk
High Quality course at a high quality club. Always a great round of golf.
Great potential
Old course with good bunkering and water hazards guarding many greens. Course needed mowing and the cups were at least three days from change. Lucked out with a less than 4 hour round for a very good price.
you need to hit the ball straight
The day went just great will play the hawk again soon
Watch for Water
The course was very well taken care of with narrow fairways and a very challenging course but that is the reason I play. I like the challenge. Enjoy!
Kittyhawk Hawk course via golfnow.com
We hadn't played this course in several years but got a good deal on golfnow.com and enjoyed a great morning with friends. The course was in very good shape and the greens were great. With an early tee time the speed of play was really good and the weather held off until we finished. We would definitely would play there again.
Kitty Hawk Couses
First time out this year so thought this would be a good course to play. The course is in great shape and pace of play was fantastic. During the week this may be the place to try if you want fast and inexpensive.
Good course except for weeds all over the rough
The fairways are great however there are so many weeds right off the fairway it seemed as if they ignored them completely.
The facility is great!
The great thing about this facility is that they have three courses. The courses are generally in great shape. It could have used a little more grass cutting this weekend but I got through it.
Fair for the day after a big storm
The course was in fair shape considering they had a big storm thru the night before. Did not have any of the t-box markers up and asked why and said they haven't gotten to it yet. I don't play the city courses during the summer because it's not worth $38 when you can play a very nice and good course like Homestead in Tipp CIty or Cassel Hills in Vandalia for $25. They are alot better courses for far less money.
I got to play on the eagle and it was great, long fairways.
I got to play on the eagle because they were working on the hawk sike. It was a great cousre to play. The fairways were in great shape and long. The people out there are friendly and the view is designed with thought.
Overbooked for play, waited almost every shot
The course was very busy and seemed like every hole there was a back up
Great Price
Overall Price and Condition Mid-July was great. Wait staff in clubhouse was slow and saw the Cart Girl 1 time.
Standard Muni
This was my first time playing the Hawk course and it's a pretty standard Muni. Nice thing was that it was so wet but the course was in good shape and it was NOT cart path only so that was nice. I'll be back an try the other courses there too.
