Dales at Community Golf Course
About
Located just south of Dayton amongst rolling hills, The Dales Course at the Community Golf Center facility is one of two regulation length courses that the facility offers. The Dales Course is referred to as the inside course, while the other course, the Hills Course, is called the outside course. Although the two courses are similar, the Dales Course is shorter and more suitable for less skilled players, but there are still interesting challenges nevertheless. Due to the bounty of mature trees, the fairways are relatively narrow. The terrain is rolling and water hazards come into play on a few holes.

Nice course.
Yardage was on short side but nice municipal course.
Great value for the money
Easy to get on, and at the time we went, we had the course almost to ourselves. Some challenging holes. Greens are quick. Course in good condition for the time of year and the weather.
Hmm
tough course for a lefty as most fairway shots are at a downward sloping angle. Will try not to come back here
AVARAGE JOE
AVARGE COURSE. THEY NEED THE CARS TO HAVE FLAGS ON TOP. YOU CAN HIT GROUP IN FRONT EASILY.
Great course for any level of play
I think having two 18 hole courses is great gives the option for all levels of play and keeps the speed of play at a good pace
Friendly course/people. Highly recommend!
Friendly staff, easy in/out and on the course. Beautiful and fair course. I plan on playing this course weekly with great rate at Golf Now.
Cheap fun course for your average golfer
Good course with a nice balance of simpe and challenging holes. Course is in good condition.
We will play here again
We had fun. The course was in fair condition. The bunkers need work. They were like lumpy clay. All in all it was good enough that we will play there again.
GREAT VALUE AND GOLF
The value was amazing. 18 holes with cart for $13 after taxes and fees was great. In addition to the great value, the course was in very good shape for this time of year.
Poor Maintenance
Sand traps were mud holes with little to no sand
Greens in poor shape and recently aerated with too much sand spread over them
Geese all over course and lots of goose droppings everywhere. No attempts obvious to control the geese
Nice course for high handicappers
This is a short and pretty open course and is a pretty good choice for higher handicaps. It gets a lot traffic and so course conditions can be a bit rough and pace of play is sometimes an issue (although not on this day). Still its a reasonably playable course for casual golfers.
Lots of terrain
Really fun course, very nice people, and some interesting holes with tees at the top of large hills that let you hit over the fairway. Few hazards so not too challenging.
Really Nice City Course!
Weather was good, a little on the hot side! But it's August so that's OK! Course was is very good condition! Overall a very good experience! Only issues I had were the first impression of the Pro Shop was the Check In/Cashier person was not very friendly at all! I don't think she said two words to us and bordered on rude for some reason! I don't know if it was because she had to deal with the prepaid certificate that I presented her or what! The only other thing a little negative was the cart paths are in very poor condition! It looks like they have been in need of some repair for quite a few years! Again, though, the part that really mattered was the golf! And we had a good experience! We will definitely do it again!
Easy does it
Easy to book on -line and especially when checking in. Just told them our name and they handed us a key to the cart and said "Have a good round " We got right on and enjoyed playing 18 holes with friends.
The only problem was ---- Geese all over the place and their droppings. Bunkers were bad also (water and gravel)
great condition
Felt very welcome. Very friendly staff. Course was in great shape. Definitely will play here often. Thank you!
Poor Planning
Upon arrival to the course about 30 minutes prior to our scheduled tee time, we were informed that we would not be teeing off as scheduled. Apparently, the course had failed to plan appropriately for an outing that was scheduled to start 2.5 hours earlier because they did not retain enough carts for the outing. They also explained there were several other tee time issues earlier in the morning that contributed to the delay of the outing. We did tee off behind the outing about 15 to 20 minutes late. The pace of play was ridiculous resulting in a 6.5 hour round, due to multiple six-somes playing in the outing ahead of us. It had been a couple years since I had played this course and I don't see myself playing here again anytime soon. Since I had booked my tee time on GolfNow, the staff had a "sorry about your luck" attitude. What should have been an enjoyable Saturday afternoon was nothing but frustrating. Very disappointed!
The hills
Great picturesque holes...many elevated tees and some elevated greens...challenging, but enjoyable...could use some better directions between holes due to the sister course (the Dales) being interwoven...
Thumbs up
Good challenging course for the price. Been here plenty of times and still coming back. Always suggest this place to play all my buddies.
Great course
Great course to play. It is in great shape. Easy course. I had my best ankle all year there. Kinda small.
