Hills at Community Golf Course
About
The Community Golf Center facility offers two regulation length golf courses, the Dales Course and the Hills Course. The Hills Course is the longer and slightly more difficult of the two. Due to its location nestled in the rolling hills south of Dayton, the terrain is quite hilly and at some times very difficult to walk. Designed in the 1920s, the course has an older layout but it is still an interesting and challenging game with tricky tees placed above the greens and water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The golf course's fairways are rather narrow and there is an abundance of stately trees, planted at the turn of the century.

Excellent Course
Hills and Dales are some of my favorite courses when i am looking for a challenging round but dont want to break the bank. You won't find many courses with the elevation changes like the hills has. Adds and extra layer of challenge and fun. Holes running rather close to one another in the middle part of the round each other does pose issues with amateurs off the tee box, especially when the course is full. Great round though
Course was in decent shape...greens we're good.. you may get lost getting around the course, no markings or signs for directions. There are 2 courses wound around each other that will have you doing circles. Come on man !!! Maybe mark the cart paths ? As always a great day.
Great
Had a great time and met some really nice guys to play with. The course was in really good shape. This was the first time I have played there this year and was pleasantly surprised how good of shape the course was in. Thanks
Good
The course is always in good shape. Play is reasonable at a good pace. It’s on a hill side so it’s a challenge.
Community Golf Course
The restaurant is only open on weekends until next Golf season. However, the hotdog and sausage was excellent and this happened to be the last day restaurant was opened until the weekends.
Starter Failure
Arrived at club for tee time on time. Starter crammed a group in front of us delaying our start by 5 minutes and our round be 45 min. No ranger action to force pace or allow play through.
Enjoyable afternoon
Played Hills course in less than 4 hours. Good pace. Greens seemed very deceptive today, fairways were a little patchy but rolling. Tee boxes could have used some work. It seems no one repairs ball marks or divots anymore. There was work being done on the course this day, I believe they got new cart paths.
Had a good time.
Community Golf Course Hills Course
Course is in good shape and pace of play was excellent! Staff was very helpful and food is very good.
Terrible conditions
For a city course which is used a lot, I get it, the course gets beat up. But the greens and tee boxes, the condition is inexcusable greens had places on them that were dead, tee boxes that look like they have not been attended to in a while, weeds, other grass growing, etc. In general, the tee boxes on the whole course was an eyesore. For the price, you charge way too much, not putting bad into course. Would not recommend this course, can go a lot more places for that rate and play on a better course. Sorry, but I won't go again.
nice course had fun
I played the course before it was in good shape recommend it all the time and staff and food prices were excellent
Good Old Public Course
I have played here 100s of time over the past 30 years and always enjoy it. We always walk and the Hills course which is hilly. The fair ways were in good shape and the greens were in great shape for a public course. The price is right, the staff is friendly, and you get a great work out if you walk..
The course has elevation changes and pano
ramic-views.It is well maintained with friendly staff.
I highly recommend this course.
This course Is Excellent for intermediate players
I enjoyed playing this course because it is not too difficult and great for confidence building playing golf
Nice course
I played 18 on the outside. It was a little hilly and relatively easy. The fairways were good and the rough was just right. The greens were smooth.
I got a golfnow deal is $16.80 with cart.
Average public course
This is a very old public course. Layout is simple on inner Dales course. A little more challenging on outer hills course. Course needs some work. Lots of trash in the surrounding woods etc.
