Hills at Community Golf Course
About
The Community Golf Center facility offers two regulation length golf courses, the Dales Course and the Hills Course. The Hills Course is the longer and slightly more difficult of the two. Due to its location nestled in the rolling hills south of Dayton, the terrain is quite hilly and at some times very difficult to walk. Designed in the 1920s, the course has an older layout but it is still an interesting and challenging game with tricky tees placed above the greens and water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The golf course's fairways are rather narrow and there is an abundance of stately trees, planted at the turn of the century.

Great Golf Day
Course suffering from some wet tees and standing water in a few bunkers, as well as impact of hot august weather. But overall, reasonable shape for this time of year. Enjoyed the round as pace of play was good.
Terrific municipal course!
We play Community Hills several times each season and it doe not disappoint. Challenging layout and always in good condition. Very friendly staff. Great value for seniors.
Golf-now services
Beside the cost, Golf-now site makes it very convenient to play. Book your tee time and worry free is great. I am sold.
Thank you
Nicely kept, challenging course
This is a very well maintained course with a few very tough holes. The pace of play is great, no waiting around. I would recommend this course to any golfer. The price was very good for the shape of the course.
Not worth the money, poor course conditions
This course is only a mile or two from my house but I usually choose to drive 15-45 mins to a decent golf course. The poor conditions of the course are not on par with the price. There are 3-4 courses with in a 25 min drive that charge the same price or better, for vastly superior facilities. I typically see the same areas under construction for multiple seasons. The course had poor drainage, old carts, crumbling cart paths, and worn out greens and tee boxes. A few years ago I was on the 4th green putting, when the sprinkler system turned on. This was comical but annoying and odd as it had rained the night before and it was around 10 or 10:30 on a Saturday morning. I called the club house and the response was something like "Yeah they're on a timer, I can't turn it off." Just not worth my money to go back.
The tee boxes need alot of help
Tee boxes were in bad shape and bunkers needed real sand in them. They had rocks and hard sand also dirt in the bunkers. Wouldn't play if it wasn't for GolfNow. Wouldn't pay the full price under those conditions
Below average
The front nine is alright but the back nine has an awful layout.
Community Hills
Front 9 took 4 hours with a 2:15 tee time, and the Ranger, who was called by the group behind us, did nothing about the slow pace of play. Back 9 was much better. Greens were not great and played very inconsistently.
Nice Surprise!!
Course was in very good shape considering the monsoon season we have been through. The holes were pretty interesting with the hilly terrain. The back to back par 3s were quite fun. One with a 30 degree incline and the next with a45 degree downslope. I will definitely go back.
Stay away from the chicken salad unless you really like garlic.
Community Hills course
The course was actually in really good condition considering all the rain we've had recently. The only concern I had was with a foursome that my son and I caught up to on the 12th hole. It took more than 2 hours to play the last 6 holes and they never offered to let us play thru and there was no ranger available to help speed up the pace of play.
Decent
Average course for a City Course. Greens were in great shape but bunkers were trash as usual.
Not bad for the money.
If you like up and down golf then this is the course for you. Elevation changes abound here and with a bit of wind it can change club selection easily. Overall it is better than a flat boring course.
Tipical city course
Far better than some of the other experiences, they didn't inflict a rule change as they did it the last two outings, like can't get a ticket printed till a never changing rule thing they have going. The said we couldn't tee off till now more than 15 min. before tee time booked. They need to put the rules in writing. Just saying. All other courses, will let you tee off any time there is an opening, and not have you waite, and put you behind some of the slowest players, I have ever seen
Good course. Hilly, tight, and challenging.
This is a tight course that on many holes is unforgiving. It has many hills and elevated tee boxes or greens and makes for a fun round. Fairways are often straight, but narrow. We rode carts and with the hills, this would be a tiring course to walk. Sand traps were in good condition. Greens were fast.
Graet Deal
I grew up on this golf course. It has always been one of my favorites. Hilly and wonderful views. It's probably the most played course in the Dayton Ohio area. One single went through my wife and I the entire time and there was no one else behind us. That was great and the value was super. The staff did not question anything about golfnow coupon & was very courteous to us.
