The Eagle Course at Kittyhawk Golf Center is one of three courses at the facility, the other two being another regulation length course and an executive, 18-hole course. These courses are three of only six municipal golf courses in the Dayton area. The Eagle Course is the longest being 400 yards longer than the other regulation course, the Hawk Course. The terrain is flat, making it an easy walk. The fairways are wide open and the greens are large. In addition to several sand bunkers and a scattering of trees, there are man-made lagoons that come into play on 16 holes.

Good Off-season round
Enjoyed my off-season round on the championship Eagle course. Greens were in great shape and modern. Bunkers and fairways were below average condition for my January round.
It is unfortunate that the City of Dayton closed the facility.
course in good shape, my play was not. It was
another good walk spoiled.no worrys mate .
to nice of a day to complain
Tough bunkers and water
First time playing water and bunkers in play majority of holes but fun playing
Great Round
It was a great course. Excellent value at $16 on Golfnow. Only thing I would change is adding a place to fill up my water bottle.
Great water features and dog legs to challenge golfer
Would recommend playing the Eagle course for challenge to golfer.
Decent municipal coarse
Not a country club but this city coarse is ptetty well cared for. Greens we’re in good shape except for ball marks that weren’t repaired by other golfers. C’mon folks! Long coarse with water that comes into play unless your a guy who consistently plays in the short grass.
Very green
With all the rain we’ve had this year the course is super green. Sits on a well field and drains very well. If they could put sand in the traps it would be perfect.
Nice course
Nice course and layout and Greens are in very good condition. Fairways could stand to be cut a Little lower and more grooming to match the greens. Beverage carts barley make it around once during nine holes. More TLC from maintenance and marshals pushing pace of play.
First time player at Eagle
Recently moved to Dayton and played the Eagle course. First off I lived the greens, they rolled exceptionally well. The fairways did need to be cut but was told they were behind on cutting. Some of the bunkers had very little of hard packed sand in them. Pace of play hmmm...let's just say there were A LOT of walkers on the course and I understand that but not one of them offered to let me play through (I was a single cart rider.) It should not take over 4 hours for a single to play 18. Overall I would definitely play this course again. Great staff!!!
Water
For a city owned course this course was bone dry like hitting off of concrete. Now I know we have had a heatwave and not much rain last 10 days but we are still way above average rainfall for the year. Come on water it some. Needed a hammer to get T in the ground to.
Water The Course Already
I know it’s been hot this summer and very dry but playing off concrete fairways is ridiculous. Bunkers look like they haven’t been tended to all summer. Very little sand, lots of weeds and hard as rocks. Bring a hammer with you to drive your tee into the tee box. Might be the worst course I’ve ever played as far as conditions go. We play a different course every week and this one ranks #1 for being the driest. HEY Kittyhawk, If your not going to water the course drop the prices. This course is way over priced for the conditions. I’ve played this course many times and the conditions right now are just terrible.
nice course just poorly maintained
Enjoyed the challenge of the Eagle course, but the huge patches of brown everywhere dampened my enjoyment. Greens were in good shape, and the many sand traps were at least somewhat maintained, but the rest of the course was sorely in need of water and maintenance. Shots from the fairway shouldn't produce dust clouds like was often the case. Enjoyed the layout, but it this condition doubt i will venture back
Ralph
The past rain help the course out tremendously. Two weeks ago the course was really dry and hard as a rock.
Nice local course.
Course is not being kept up. The city of Dayton is not taking care of this course.
Course was great. Always play hawk and it was a nice change up. Can’t wait to see what the course looks like in the summer
