The Eagle Course at Kittyhawk Golf Center is one of three courses at the facility, the other two being another regulation length course and an executive, 18-hole course. These courses are three of only six municipal golf courses in the Dayton area. The Eagle Course is the longest being 400 yards longer than the other regulation course, the Hawk Course. The terrain is flat, making it an easy walk. The fairways are wide open and the greens are large. In addition to several sand bunkers and a scattering of trees, there are man-made lagoons that come into play on 16 holes.

Great course for all levels
My wife and I are beginners and my father in law has played for a while. We all had a great time and we're able to play at a great pace. Has excellent greens and fairways. Great layout for people that like to walk the course with the holes being back to back. I will definitely be going back soon
Grass
My only complaint is the rough was pretty long and had lots of dead grade clippings in certain areas. It's very frustrating when you hit a decent shot, but happens to be in the rough a little bit, you need to drop bc it's too thick and can't be found... Especially when it can possibly happen Every shot on the course, also slowing down play to look. I think I lost 8-9 balls from the rough alone... Only 1 in water. Yeah, I got a great price on Golf now... But it also cost me an extra $20 in Golf balls....
Great condition
The greens were in great condition. The ladies tee boxes left a lot to be desired. It is a very long course for women, would recommend the Hawk for ladies. Staff very friendly.
Time and Managment Issues
I played this course with my father, brother-in-law, nephew and son on June 28 2015. Lets start off by saying the golf course is in excellent shape. Now let me tell you they charged my son who is 4 years old $14 just to ride in the cart with me. Really 4 years old. We are then welcomed by the starter who is older that dirt telling us that we would have more fun on the par three course because we had the kids with us. Only to find out he was trying to get us to go over there because there was a group of long hitters behind us and they didn't want to play behind us. We had to wait on every shot and on every tee box there was at least two group backed up every hole. When we went into club house after 9 holes they were telling customers that had scheduled tee times that they did not have any carts left. We had and issue and the Head Golf Professional Jana Dalton was not even on the premises and we were told that she has a farm and she is out on the tractor and she won't answer her phone. I have worked at a golf course and helped run a golf course how can there not be anyone at a golf course that can not make a important decision. If the head golf pro is not going to be there then there needs to be a general manager when they are not there. This course is terribly ran and the city of Dayton needs to seriously look and operation issues. The only way I would recommend this course to anyone is if they have 6-7 hours of there time to waste.
This course is not worth the time or money
Seems like they overbooked. At one time, I saw three groups waiting on a tee box, while the group on the tee box just teed off. Each group had either three or four golfers in a group. Pace of play was horrible, with no rangers in sight. Will not come back, will not recommend this course. Staff was inconsiderate. Started round at 9:45, at 2 pm, was just finishing hole 15, had to leave, did not get to finish round.
good place to play
Love the city Kitty. Hawk awesome grate course to walk
Had fun
Greens were really nice and ran true but earlier golfers had horrible golf edicate. My group of two fixed a minimum of four ball marks per hole. We had a 4:30 tee time, we cruised at our own speed (3 1/2 hours). No snack bar at the turn, 6:00, and no cart person on a Saturday afternoon. Had an enjoyable afternoon. The sand traps were horrible. No Sand ( maybe 1/4 inch) and rocks in trap. Pulled the ball out of a few of the traps
Very Nice
Except for some excessive grass clippings on a couple holes the Eagle was in great shape. I've played it many times before and was not disappointed with conditions on this day. Bunkers could use some sand.
lot better than it used to be
Had a great day. Course was in good condition considering no rain all week. Nice pace of play
hawk course
Great time playing this course for first time.had a blast with friends and the people were great .Would definitely recommend this to friends and play again when in area
A good challenge for the average golfer
The course was in fairly good condition. The fairway roughs were a bit long and it was difficult finding balls played off the fairway. The greens were very firm and it was difficult holding the greens on approach shots.
Goat Track
This course is not being mowed properly. They are missing spots in the fairway. The rough on most courses is better than the fairways here. The bunkers are full of rocks and the course is overrun by weeds. They are not watering the greens (evidenced by grass grown over sprinkler heads), so they will not hold a shot unless it has rained recently. Other than the friendly staff, this place is horrible.
The city should close this facility or sell it to someone who is willing to take care of it. It is an embarrassment.
Eagle Course
Greens on front nine and fairways on back nine had many HUGe clumps of grass all over them. Must have had the same person cutting that grass. Rough too high and thick, I lost 6 balls in the rough
Good course good prices
It was a pleasure playing there and the price was good need to have more cart girls or cart employees to deliver refreshments
There is a reason for the cheap price.
Condition was a little rough. Flat. There are much better places to play in the Dayton area.
Nice Course; Wide Open; Short roughs
This was my first time playing this course and I thought it was really nice for the price. The rough was very short so the only time I lost my ball was in the water or when I went way out of bounds. We did not wait for anyone except for one smaller group which we regretted letting play through. Surprising seeing how it was perfect golf weather. Going from one tee box to the next was confusing at times due to there being no cart path or sign leading the way. We had to look at the map on the scorecard to figure out which direction to go. All-in-all It was a nice course and we would certainly go back for the same price. (Eagle course; $30 per player; 18 w/cart)
Kittyhawk Eagle course
The course is beautiful and in great shape. Greens fees for seniors is a great deal. I recommend the course to all.
Rough Fairways
For the price the course was in descent shape. I would have been unhappy if I had paid what full rate was. The fairways were pretty thick and the tee boxes needed some attention. There were times while standing on the tee I could not distinguish between the fairway and the rough. The greens however were very well taken care of. I would come back but only at the discounted rate.
nice course
Good value for the money. The Course was well maintained
We must have played the same day, this place was bad. I lost two balls in the middle of the fairway because of the uneven grass.
