Shawnee State Park Golf Resort

I played this course the last week it was open. Quite sad to see the clubhouse being demobilized and everything being taken down. Course had several holes with views of the Ohio River and the Marina. Very sad that it is now closed as there are not many options for golf in the area.

In my opinion, this is the best course in Scioto County, or at least it is the most consistent. I've played there probably 50 times or more and it is always in great shape. The course has its fair share of attractive holes, especially hole 5. Back 9 is--in my opinion--harder than the Front 9.

Course was looking a little rough because of the lack of rain but over all it was great

I have played this course in the past and really like the course. There was no ranger and there was a foursome in front of us (a twosome) who for the entire 18 hours would not let us play thru. Very frustrating to say the least!!

The only thing the course lacked was some of the hazards were not marked clearly or at all. Other then that, course is in good shape...

Golf Now made a pricing error but this golf course worker honored the price. Appreciated the guy standing up for me as I was a return customer. Only complaint was the foursome ahead of me would not let me play thru.

This course was pretty average except for pace of play. I and a buddy drive about an hour to get there, we could have played any course we passed while driving and would have been just as pleased with our experience. Although the clubhouse staff was very friendly, the mowing staff stayed with us through several holes and continued to mow apparently oblivious to our presence. The course is very straight forward. Very little elevation change. Very little creativity in design(play the same shot over and over). Average to below average condition( greens were good, fairways below average and ruff average). I will say the 5th hole was very scenic though. Overall it's an average course. If you have to drive over half hour, play something closer. If you are a local, no reason not to play other than slow pace of play, and that may have just been a fluke.

For all the bad weather we've had an with the river flooding, this course was n immaculate shape!

Shawnee is in excellent condition right now. Fairways were in great shape, greens were excellent and the sand traps looked good too (thank goodness I didn't hit one this time). The staff was very friendly also. Would recommend this lovely golf course.

The course was clear of debris as crews were cleaning the grounds free of leaves so ball find was easy when you were in rough .Fairways excellent

Although the morning started out quite cold, it did warm up and the course was in good shape. They had recently aeriated the greens, which we were aware of prior to booking. We got a great rate on golfnow that made it worth the trip. The scenery in this part of the state is quite exceptional this time of year as well. The fifth green is backdropped by the ohio river and an abundance of multicolor trees.

Other courses in the area are dry and burnt up. Shawnee still somehow keeps it nice and green and very nice! Food was good at the turn and staff was friendly. Very good round of golf
