Red/Blue at Ramblewood Country Club
About
For more than half a century, Ramblewood Country Club has been one of the top public golf courses in southern New Jersey. The club offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played as three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course starts with one of the original nines from 1962, while the back nine was added 10 years later. The Red nine has large, subtly undulating greens bordered by strategically placed bunkers. Be prepared for a few forced carries over water. The challenges are nicely balanced with forgiving fairways that have generous landing areas. The Blue nine is an interesting contrast to the front of the golf course. It's routed through mature pine forests and it has tighter fairways though the greens are just as undulating as the Red, making course management the key to scoring well.

Let's do it again
The course was in great shape. The starter set us up and we were off in no time. My twosome played with two others. After we shook off the nervousness, we were ready to rock by hole # 2. Other than the heat, I hit the ball well. I take too much risks but they pay off sometimes.lol
AWESOME
Great course, the three nines were a bit confusing as different tee boxes were for different holes and difficult to find our next one. All in all we had a great time and the course was in great shape.
Good Course, Needs to Accommodate Walkers
Played my first round at Ramblewood. Great course, I like that it has different layouts, simple enough. This course could be perfect though if they accommodated walkers. They charge the same rate for someone riding a cart as they do for a walker.. That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. If they changed that one thing they’d have my full stamp of approval for a great local course, but to me that’s a big one. Course is friendly to walkers too track wise.
Course was in great shape
Everything was fine and well maintained. Not the most creative layout but nothing to complain about either.
Windy Day
I think the pace of play was good because of the impending weather. We teed off at 2 and mage it in by around 6. Not too much waiting for a Saturday afternoon. The fairways and greens were shaggy as usual I guess to accommodate a lot of rounds and all skill levels of players. One thing that I think they could have done better is to actively manage the “helicopter’s” falling from the trees. Certain greens became unplayable. Seems like it is the “your a publinkster, what do you want. Nice bar and friendly bar staff. I play this one because it is close and I can find it on my app.
