Red/Blue at Ramblewood Country Club
About
For more than half a century, Ramblewood Country Club has been one of the top public golf courses in southern New Jersey. The club offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played as three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course starts with one of the original nines from 1962, while the back nine was added 10 years later. The Red nine has large, subtly undulating greens bordered by strategically placed bunkers. Be prepared for a few forced carries over water. The challenges are nicely balanced with forgiving fairways that have generous landing areas. The Blue nine is an interesting contrast to the front of the golf course. It's routed through mature pine forests and it has tighter fairways though the greens are just as undulating as the Red, making course management the key to scoring well.

good time
Went out at noon, had a good round course was in good shape. I'd play it again.
nice course, 3 9 hole layouts...started on the white, which is probably the lesser of the 3 , some dirt in fairways and chewed up tee boxes, but the red was excellent, and greens rolled nice on both 9s...played as a 1 some which is sometimes challenging, but groups let me play through (I wish this was mandatory via a ranger) overall enjoyable round, I like the bar and restaurant inside and it's inexpensive...a cart girl during the week would be nice to see hoowever..
Rambo 1
Overall, golf was good. The course is in good condition, but the greens need to be cut. Thanks
Another Saturday round in less than 4 hours
What more do you want?
Play Red Blue from the back for the best experience. Slow greens but good pace of play, I will take the trade off.
nothing special
Nothing special about this facility (27 holes). Blue nine might be best of the three nines with minimal houses. Recommend as a nice public course.
Group opinion review
Some cart paths need serious work they are bumpy and broken. Our carts died 8holes in and nobody at club house would answer the phone. One of the guys in our group was 65 so the walk back was a struggle. It was just a shyty experience. The course has its days when its amazing but not tgus far this year after 6 rounds. Guys working the proshop are good guys very friendly and helpful probably the only reason id go back is because how well the treated us. I played a few times there last year and course was in immaculate condition couldnt wait to go back but not the case right now.
Fabulous round
Pace of play for a Friday was smooth and at well managed intervals. Could tell that a lot of TLC has been and continues to be invested in ground maintenance. Greens were faster than expected. It looks like the dawn of a great season, here’s hoping!
More fixing needed
Ron needs to spend more money on the course . New cart paths not repaired ones. Fill in the low spots on the fairways at least.
Winter golf
Mid Feb round after terrible weather the last few weeks.. With that being said course was In decent shape.. Fairways were soft but not wet.. Only 1 hole had standing water on it and was easily cleared with a decent drive.. Greens were soft but rolled really nice.. I enjoyed the round keeping in mind it’s winter golf in the north east.. Only other issue I had was the bar didn’t have any hot dogs..
Ramblewood Charm Continues
Having played this course since the early 80's, still a pleasure to see the consistent care and upkeep. Changes in ownership haven't affected the charm and challenge. Some new faces in the ProShop are friendly and a pleasure to speak with. Still soggy, cart path only was not a real burden. Look forward to returning on those long summer days, and play all 27.
Good course for price
Course was in good shape for the season and weeks weather. Had the course to ourselves! Few holes are straightforward always a hidden creek or trap or pond! Not long and fair price for winter golf.
