Poor Course Conditions
Played back 9. Grass on fairways was so long felt like playing in the rough. Dandilions everywhere making it hard to locate your ball. I’m not a harsh critic but the course is in serous need of maintenance. I’ve been here many times before and I haven’t seen it this bad. Hoping for a better outing next time.
Disappointed
Tee boxes were like playing in the rough they could be cut closer. Some of the holes were a little bit tight off the tee, A few trees could have been cut or trimmed, Tee shots a little tight.
Wouldn’t attempt to play ever again
No way am I going back. They were backed up a whole 45-hour after my tee time with no carts. Yeah definitely no structure to there scheduling. I’m good will take my money over to a place called copper top right around there. If in the area would play copper top very nice course and very good condition! Also, most important on time and pace of play was great.
This course was ready to open
Tee boxes not mowed, greens cut at different heights. No carts available, limited pull carts that were in poor condition.
Flooded
Course was in horrible condition, I payed for 18 but the back 9 were closed. Was not offered a refund for not being able to play what I payed for. Probably won’t go back to this course. The photo is of a fairway.
Hello, u314162186275. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Brentwood Golf Club.
It was great
I love that they got a range right there.. easy to get to
Thank you for your review, chefjomo. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Brentwood Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Rough, but friendly
The fairways and tee boxes are a little rough, the greens were true but slow. The course layout is just quirky enough to keep a good player somewhat engaged, but playable enough for beginners and higher handicaps. A good value and convenient access from the freeway. I’ll be back the next time I need to knock some rust off or work on some swing changes - which is why I was there today.
Fast Play. Short, Easy course. Inexpensive.
Tee boxes are not well kept. Greens were below average but not the worst for July play considering how dry it is. Not very challenging but for a hot deal it’s worth it.
Bad experience
We showed up before our tee time and checked in, there was no starter, no one outside, it appeared the only two employees there were the girls working at the counter inside. This became a problem because everyone was starting from the first hole and there were around six different groups waiting to tee off in addition to the group actually taking their shots and the other group on the green putting. Apparently tee times mean nothing here and you can just walk up and get in front of people who actually scheduled to play. Because I did not want to wait two hours to tee off and then take four hours to play nine holes I went inside to cancel and get my refund. They said that they could not refund me the money right away in the club house and that it would have to be later in the week, well I still haven’t gotten my refund or heard from the golf course. I have seen children run lemonade stands better than whoever is in charge of this golf course. We went to a different course where they have adults running it and we were able to play and have a nice morning out. Will not be back and will tell people not to play here.
Nice course for the price
First time playing here will definitely come back..interesting layout..good place for just abt anyone from beginners to competitive!
Brentwood .....still has a lot of wood!
This day, I & buddy played 18 in about 2.5hrs, so we both played well despite the soft conditions (grounds wet after nightly rains). Greens a bit on the slow side, but we both had many 1putts due to good close chips. There are a few screwy holes --#11,13,14,--and more than a few trees need to be trimmed (tee shoots like in a cave), or removed completely (17 in particular). Old bridges have been replaced (working on last one #11 today), so they continue to keep the course playable for all ages. Brentwood has quite a few leagues and ideal for us old folks or relative novice players. The other Plus, Brentwood can be good for your hdcp ..... I shot even Par!
Good value, beginner course
Course is very short. All holes are fairly straightforward. Drive straight, good iron and you can be putting for birdie on most holes. Good course for beginners or children.
Hi, I am the general manager here. Unfortunately we have experienced a lot of rain, and it has been cold and recent snow, to be expected the course is going to be wet, as are most courses in the area. We would have most certainly refunded the 9 holes as we have been doing with several golfers because we understand the conditions (due to inclement weather) haven’t been ideal. If you’d like you can email me and I can issue a refund for the other 9 but will need your name, proof of receipt, and date you played. My email is kaitlinf@generalplug.com
