Turtle Creek Golf Course
About
Formerly known as Greenville Country Club, Turtle Creek Golf Course has been around since 1921, making it one of the area's oldest courses. Despite its long history, the relatively unknown course is known as one of the Miami Valley's best-kept secrets. It has a traditional layout that sprawls across acres of lush countryside, situated just outside of Greenville. The landscape is fairly wooded, requiring a bit of accuracy in order to maneuver through some of the narrow openings provided by the trees. There is a stream meandering across the golf course that comes into play on several holes. A few strategically placed bunkers also lurk around some of the greens. Turtle Creek Golf Course is player friendly enough for beginners but it is still an interesting round for more advanced players.

Concrete greens can't hold an approach shot
First time playing TC this year, but wow what does it take to hold the greens here now? Played a ProV1, Chrome soft and super soft and had a really hard time holding the greens. The course had recent rain, had been mowed, but still couldn't hold the greens whatever we tried; 9 iron, wedge, gap wedge, SW towering high shots would jump 20 feet and hardly any spin. We ended up playing the course like a links style course play 1 club less and run shots up bc of the greens not holding. Maybe they should chalk it up and aerate for the year and not wait until the fall. With that being said the course played nice, putts rolling nice, maintenance overall pretty good, few spots here and there need some attention
not what it was
they should never had the course open . we could only play the front nine and it was so wet that it was difficult to play. not what I am used to on this course
We love this course!
Great Course! We love how much different the front nine and back nine are! Friendly staff, good food, and great deals! Can’t beat it. We drive up from Dayton because we enjoy it so much! Can’t wait to play here again!
Amazing for the price
I got a hot deal for only 13 bucks for 18 and a cart. For that price, I would recommend this course to anyone. The only single issue with the course was that it was starting get dry. The grounds crew was working hard though turning on and off sprinklers to try and get the course back in shape. Even with it dry, it wasn’t in bad shape, the lay out is awesome, tough and easy holes, an all around good course!
Great course
Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in terrific condition. Course layout is great. Challenging but not overwhelming. Greens were extremely firm but it had been really dry recently. As nice of a course as I’ve played in this area.
Great Greens and Fairways
A first time visitor here....so didn’t really know what to expect. First of all the negatives....bunkers and cart paths could do with some attention, but that didn’t bother me in the slightest. I was here to play golf - and the tees, fairways and greens were in great condition. The greens were slick...way too fast for my putting! The course was undulating and scenic....and there was barely a cloud in the sky. Staff were very friendly too. So, all in all a great afternoon...and will certainly visit again, when over from the UK.
golf course
Course is fairly opened on front nine once you make the turn be prepared for a tough back nine. It is a good challenge for all golfers. would play again next time i'm in town.
Management was sub par!
During a public outing, on a public course, we were unable to attain a golf cart for a disabled spectator. Derek refused access to a cart, even though others were riding in carts that day. He said it was due to the wet conditions. She had proof in the form of a doctor's note, handicap placard, as well as a card from a surgeon that she uses at the airport to allow her access to the handicap mobility programs. We left the course and will (obviously) not return. He was rude and attempted to humiliate her, stating he was not a mass transit provider, as well as not allowing her a mobility device of her own on the course.
This course is great
Had a great day playing golf and the course is in great shape
This is a fun course
Went there and had a great time playing around of golf. The greens are in great shape as is the course it self. The people there are friendly and helpful would go there again for sure.
Senior tees
I thought the senior tees on the longer par 4s didn't give an advantage for senior golfers. Second shot were 175-185 yds. 65 yrs old and over most likely can't get on the green in regulation.
Course mngmt should consider moving those tees up on the longer par 4s. Second shot should be 150-160 with a good drive
I probably won't play it again however golfers should give in try once. Tee it up!
County Club feel at a Public Price
This course has a beautiful layout. Wooded with creeks running through on both sides. Front 9 is easier than the back 9. Staff treats us wonderfully everytime we are there. Drive from Indiana twice a week to play this course. Absolutely love it!
Friendly
Staff is always friendly and accomodating. I ordered a chicken/bacon/ranch pizza to go. It was great. Always enjoy the course. It's my favorite in the area.
Very nice
Challenging layout. Nice greens. We really enjoyed playing the course. Food is awesome as well
Great course
This place is a gemstone. The fairways are in great shape and the greens as well. The food inside is very well prepared and service of all staff members is friendly. This course is very fair; no matter your skill level this course is challenging and better yet “fun.” Looking forward to my next visit. As with every golf course nowadays a few of the cart paths can use some maintenance.
Great mature challenging course, Fun time! Out there a ways from Dayton
Love playing Turtle creek a few times a year. A bit of a drive from Dayton, but worth the drive. Affordable rates for how the course plays. We got on the course around 615AM, asked for the first tee time. There was a 2some walking in front of us that skipped directly to the tee ahead of us, not a problem because they sped up their pace of play and got out of our way after a few holes.
The course was in good condition, but there are some areas of improvement that could be better. The greens aren't as fast as you would think, but pretty true. The tee boxes are uneven throughout the course and should be looked at and see if this can be addressed. The bunkers need some attention on some holes as well. Other than that, the course plays well and can be challenging. Posted a 78 and felt like the course was a challenge.
