Homestead Springs Golf Course
About
Although Homestead Springs Golf Course is just a few minutes southeast of Columbus, the surrounding countryside provides an idyllic atmosphere. It has a convenient location that is easily accessible from Central Ohio. The course is mostly flat, which makes it easy to walk, but there is some strategic mounding that can cause tricky uneven lies. Overall though, the golf course is not meant to pose an impossible challenge. It has an approachable, player-friendly layout that was designed for all skill levels to enjoy, but there are still a variety of challenges that will keep you on your feet. The course boasts excellent green conditions with putting surfaces that roll fast and true. The greens vary in size from small to medium. Water hazards come into play as well as a few strategically placed bunkers.

Reviews
Course was in great shape!
From the top, T boxes in pretty good shape for the amount of play at the course- fairways were excellent- greens were also in great ball stopping shape, if you hit them they were soft enough to keep the ball on them yet ball speed on the put was speedy also, Great Greens- rough was not bad we could hit out with out to much of a problem. The course still has sand in the traps also.
beatiful fairways
just moved to columbus and trying to find some courses around me without driving 30+ minutes. 25 minutes from downtown, beautiful fairways, relatively cheap...I will definitely be back. Smaller greens which made me work on my short game but a great all around course.
Golf has been improved
I played this course back in the year 2000 and it was in what I considered to be average condition. However I was really surprise at how much it has improved over the past 19 years. The owners have put money into the course as the tees, greens, and fairways had all been improved. I really enjoyed the course and plan to play it again this season.
Pleasantly surprised at the condition of the entire course.
I had not played this course in the last five years and was really surprised at how much it has improved in my absence. The fairways, tees, and rough were much better than I remembered. The greens were a bit slow but the role was smooth and the reads were true.
The staff was pleasant to deal with and the experience as very good.
I will play it again this year.

Great shape
This course is in great shape and well-maintained. You should be commended for taking such great care of this golf course. We had a wonderful time playing the course.
Wonderful!
What a well kept course the from tee boxes to fairways the greens even the bunkers were in great shape. I was very impressed definitely will golf there again
The greens need a speeding ticket..
I could not get over how nice this course is. The greens were lightning fast, which is what I like. The fairways were exceptional and tee boxes fine. The only draw back I can share is that on a few holes, possibly 5 or six holes there is a tree which blocks the approach shot. This does not seem entirely fair, not that golf is a fair sport. But, if you hit a shot out of the fairway at the pin, you should not be penalized because of an overhanging tree which protects over half the green. Just my thought. The course was in great shape. There are numerous water hazards not visually apparent and therefore you must consult the course layout on occasion to note where and what kind of water is in front of you, something I admit we did not commonly do.
Fantastic course conditions and value
First time playing this course. After torrential rains yesterday, this course was in fantastic condition. The tee boxes were perfectly green and the greens, in spite of tons of rain, are lightning fast and in great condition. I am from out of town and I would play this course again as it is much better than most a play out east. The value for the money was fantastic and the gentleman in the pro shop was super nice. A+ everything.
Great Course
Homestead Springs is a great course with an awesome layout. Greens roll very nice.
Great, fun course.
This course is always in great shape. The bunkers are some of the best in central Ohio.
Fairways are in great shape. The rough can be unforgiving. I really enjoy playing at Homestead Springs.
Played the course on a Sunday morning with a friend. The fairways are reasonably forgiving, trees not so dense that you can't find an errant shot (a challenge for a new golfer like me), and while there aren't a lot of bunkers, they appear often enough to make you think. Course conditions were damp, thanks to a bit of overnight rain and the dense dew from the summer humidity. This made the greens slow, but they sped up by the time we were on the back nine and the summer sun dried them out.
It was an enjoyable 18 holes of golf; we'll be back.
One of the nicest "Mom and Pop" courses in the area.
There is nothing "amazing" about this place. No fancy clubhouse, fantastic driving range, etc. what you get is a well run family type operation. The course itself is like 2 courses. Front nine very short and "get table". The back nine is a killer, very long with the ever present creek running through it.
Staff is always friendly. We go a few times a year, yet the guy at the snack bar remembers what we like to get at the turn.
Course is in excellent shape, greens ran a little slow, but still held a well hit approach shot. You will need your ball repair tool here, so please fix your ball marks. Pace was about 3 and 1/2 hours on a nice Thursday afternoon. Play here when you can, you won't be disappointed.
Course in good shape
Went off back side first in early cool morning. Fairways in good shape. Greens were fast. Made the turn around 10am to the front. Some greens were pretty beat up and burnt but were being maintained. Front side greens were super slow and was hard to make the speed adjustment between from and back greens. Overall in great condition!
