Perfect day for golf on a nice course
What would have made this a perfect rating were the lack of bona fide sand in the bunkers. The material is a mixture of sand and dirt, some more dirt than sand and when the dirt dries is makes the balls stand up when it comes to rest. In places the rough is too long may be due to excessive rain the previous week.
Good Conditions as always!!!
This local course close to home is always in good condition! 4some played in 4 hours second tee time at 6:36am so pace of play was great!!!
Consistent
Always well maintained tee to green. Challenging and fun at the same time. Friendly staff.
Booked it for 50 per person but was still charged 63 dollars
Good Coarse
For being winter conditions, the coarse was in good shape. The green were pretty quick and carts were allowed off the path. They did have a few bunkers that were being repaired, but still a great coarse.
Play
Lack of rangers to monitor the pace of play. Some golfers are playing the wrong tees according to their capabilities.
Great course and first impression
Great course conditions, greens in perfect shape and fast. Cart girl everywhere, and ranger super friendly bringing lost club
Fun course to play
Walden is a fun course that is great condition. Nice routing with some interesting holes that require thought and execution. Good value for the money which is an added bonus! I look forward to the next time I can play it!
Top 5 Public in Cincy
This is a fantastic public option in the Cincinnati area and worth your money to book a tee time.
Solid subdivision course
Course is part of a subdivision and has a lot of homes around it - some in close proximity to the golf hole. Course has several standout holes: signature 5th is a beautiful hole, 8th and 9th beautiful and challenging, 10th is good and the quarry hole is unique.
If homes do not bother you, WP is a fun challenging course.
Fun course in great condition, fast greens are a good test
Second time playing this course. Had a great ime, the course itself was in fantastic condition from tee to green. The foursome in front us was a bit slow but we finished around 4.5 hours so not terrible.
It's a relatively simple layout, wide fairways and generous sized greens. The greens are quicker than most public courses in Cincinnati in my experience, which is where the challenge lies. Good number of bunkers that will keep you honest on approach shots.
The par 5 over the water is interesting (150y cary & then layup short of a creek on 2nd shot), and there's a short par 4 that doglegs a bit. #18 is cool, dogleg right with water down the right. Fun course that's not overly difficult or penal as long as you're not spraying the ball all over the place.
