very flat no problems
The course was the dryness in the area, drain well a good practice course for early season.
Good golf value
Good variety of holes and a fair test. Fairways and greens are always in great shape - can play it down. Greens hold. Better than both Cleveland metro courses I played this year and a much better value. Cudos to the greenskeepers.
Kent's best
This course has a few notable characteristics. Mainly the drainage of the course, its absolutely the best around. They basically always allow carts out, and only have partial paths. There are no water hazards, and not too many traps, but its length alone will challenge most players. They always seem to have really nice starters and rangers, who will gently "prod" your group if they fall behind, all in all extremely nice people to deal with.
Good value anytime, but especially if you're looking for an early season playable course.
Unique hole layouts.
A fun course with some unique hole layouts. Staff was nice and accommodating.
Good pace of play
Played 18 in 3 hours, paired up with another single who played 9. 2 other groups allowed me to play through on back 9. Staff friendly, courteous golfers, and course in overall good condition
Nice course
Played for the first time finally. In very good condition. Tricky greens were a great challenge. Staff was very accommodating of my large group. I will play it again.
Pleasant Surprise
When I saw the deal on golf now I figured I'd give this course a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Course was in great shape staff was friendly overall enjoyable. Course is challenging and plays long even from the whites but it's fun for golfers of all levels.
The course is wonderful.
The course was in good condition and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Only negative to this course was the other golfers. They tried to rush my group through our outing, refusing the play through us. Nothing bad about the course though just the other golfers.
Fun course
I've been playing this course since I was 12 and it's always fun to get out and play here. It's a pretty easy course and usually consists of a lot of beginning golfers which can play slow and back up sometimes. The back is much easier / shorter than the front. The greens roll fairly well, the fairways are ok and the tee boxes are pretty average so you won't have to tee it up in a bunch of divots or uneven stance. This course gets a lot of play and one of the more popular in the area.
Long but playable course
You will need to use your arsenal of clubs. The course is long but forgiving. The greens and fairways were in great shape even after a heavy morning rain. I had fouresome that let me play thru on the 2nd hole. The price was great. I would highly recommend this course.⛳️
Fairly long and challenging
Course was in very good shape considering all the rain we have had
Oak wood at the knolls
Overall great experience.. only my second time golfing there. Plenty of par opportunities if you get a good first drive (250 yards or further). Very long course, yet very open for the most part. Greens are pretty flat with minimal breaks.. Also, the rough off of the fairway is pretty long.. def club up one from what your used to hitting if you find yourself in the rough. Definitely would golf here if you haven't.
Nice afternoon
First time at Oak Knolls. Despite the lack of water, bunkers and a stunning scenery, we played a nice round on this well maintained course. Nice staff/starter.
Longer Course
A longer course with only three tee choices. There is no water in play except for the fairway bunker on #1 which was flooded out. The greens rolled well but had very little break to them. The greens also showed signs of Dollar Spot which hopefully has been treated or there will be problems very soon. Fivesomes if not encouraged, at least seem to be tolerated as I saw three different groups of five during my round.
Great course
The course was in excellent condition. No water, and not much sand, but for an intermediate golfer such as myself, thats a good thing. Thanks to the friendly staff. The Starter was a good guy..
Great Rainey day course
This was the only course we could find open in the area. 3.5 inches of rain the day before. Course was wet, but definitely playable. Very long, 1st hole was over 600 yards from the middle of the three tees. Hills and length are the main challenge on this course.
Great
This was my first time playing this course in over a year and i have to tell you, I don't know why I waited so long to go back. The Course is pretty easy, but the fairways and rough are beautiful. Fairways are nice to hit from. The rough is nice and green but still able to hit out of it. The greens have decent speed and a couple of the greens are smaller to make up for the shorter length of a course.
Course is okay, Staff is not.
The course itself isn't bad for the price. The par fives seem to go on forever. I had some trouble with a bored ranger who basically harassed my group the entire 9. There were only 4 groups on the entire front 9, and we had a group of walkers in front of us, preventing a quick pace. Yet, the ranger insisted on literally following us for ALL 9 HOLES. I understand it's his job to keep the pace going but we were in no way hindering the pace. There was never a group waiting behind us, and we were constantly sitting on the tee box. He literally followed us from shot to shot down each hole which is a bit obsessive. Then he started to pull up to our cart and make comments like "I hope you're not making the turn". For an empty course it was a bit ridiculous and I probably will never return...
Knoll Going Wrong
For early in the season, the course was in good shape and the greens were cut. The course is a lot tougher than its slope rating with some monster par fives and fours (from the blue tees). A nice mix of diverse holes that don't boar you and make you use a lot of clubs in your bag. When the trees get their leaves, the course plays even harder.
Good condition
Good condition for March and there were groundskeepers out cleaning it even more. We were essentially the only ones on the course, for $12 you can never beat it.
